what is wrong with being a homosexual? (i'm not just asking)?

what is wrong with it, why cant two people no matter what gender or race be together, why are so many people against it? also is it culture or birth that gives you that feeling of being a homosexual?

every one keeps mentioning the bible, why, do you people do everything the bible tells you too, im not asking what the bible thinks, im asking what real people with real emotions think about it. gp look at my other questions and snwer those.

People are against it because they feel that everyone has to think and act just like they do. As far as culture or birth...I think its a little bit of both, prodominantly genetics.

It is a sin according to the Word of the Living God. In the Bible, it is verfied sin by stating the homosexuality is "abomination" in the eyes of God. For this, it is clear that God is not pleased with this lifestyle nor is He pleased with any sins. If all the world (or the majority thereof are homosexual), how could be produce children and replenish the Earth. All sins are able to be delivered. So one can be delivered from the sin of homosexuality. It is just like any other sin ... we are born into sin so therefore, we can acquire any sin on us ... are we all murderers? No. But, some have sinned by murdering .... and that person wasn't born to be a murderer. We're not born to be a particular sinful being ... we just have a sin nature. And Jesus removes that nature.

In my opinion, nothing is wrong with it. We are taught that love is the highest command, above all.

That said, there are tremendous PROBLEMS about being homosexual, 99.9% of which are the result of societal mores (customs) around it, prejudice, and .. well, you know the story, as do we all, I think.

It seems to be pretty well established that there is no choice about anyone's sexual preference, homesexuals' or heterosexuals'. There is a choice, however, in how (or if) it's expressed. I would hope that homosexuals think long and hard about that one, given the tremendously difficult life that their society forces them into leading. Personally, I think any societal/religious meddling in any form, including legal, in what happens in private between two (or more) mutually consenting adults is outrageous.

And finally, I think there's a lot more important things to be said about someone than their sexual preference.

My great friend this is what sex is:

intercourse - The act of sexual procreation between a man and a woman; the man's penis is inserted into the woman's vagina and excited until orgasm and ejaculation occur

It does not take a genious to figure out that gay "sex" is not really sex at all. As penis and penis or vagina and vagina does not make for good sex. In fact it is impossible for either to be sex.

It is unnatural, unhealthy and bad for everyone including society (because it does not build a family).

Finally it is culture that makes you gay. No more than any other sexual disorder. A little girl that was molested by big men made her have sexual feelings for little kids as well.

Bad simply breeds bad. Dont let Liberalism win. Rather let morality win.

The answer is similar to one I just gave about why muslims (and jews, actually) are not allowed to eat pork. At the time these rules were written, it was VERY important for people to multiply, and teach their children their ways, if the culture (tribe) was going to survive. Therefore, any kind of sex that couldn't produce offspring was outlawed by religion, hoping the result would be more children. It's outdated law, and actually a bit harmful in today's society.

One point is that it implies pleasure without responsibility. If you are heterosexual, and have sex, there is a chance that you will have a child. With homosexuals, this is not so. Therefore, there is little to no risk in the pleasure. The main reason though, is that, according to religious thought, God made sex for only one reason: to have a child. If you believe in the bible, then there are many verses in it stating that it is wrong to be homosexual. I'll tell you a few.

1. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed in 1898 B.C. in Genesis chapter 19 because the cities were "wicked". Men of the city asked a man named Lot, "Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may KNOW them."
The word "know" in this context is properly translated, "Have sexual intercourse with". (See a "Strong's" or other bible dictionary.)

2. In Leviticus the 18th chapter and 22nd verse, Elohim (god) says, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." (The year of this decree was 1490 B.C., when Moses and the children of Israel were at Mt. Sinai receiving the ten commandment law.)

3. In the book of Romans, the 1st chapter and 27-28th verses say, "For this cause Elohim (god) gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet." The following verses say that those who commit such acts of "unrighteousness" and "wickedness" are "worthy of death". This was written by the apostle Paul in A.D. 60

4. In 1st Corinthians 6:9, the apostle Paul says, "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, NOR EFFEMINATE, nor abusers of themselves with mankind." "Effeminate" means having the qualities of a woman, soft or delicate to an unmanly degree in traits, tastes, habits, etc; womanish.


If, however, you don't believe in the bible, then look at yourself; look at nature. Nature tells us that two men cannot produce offspring just as two women cannot. That is what is wrong with being a homosexual.

Well, if you don't believe it is a sin, then nothing is wrong. If you believe in marriage between man and woman is ordained of God, then you are going against a law of God and that's why it's wrong. I believe it is not from birth that a person is gay. I also don't believe people are "gay" I believe they have gay tendancies. I believe it is a sin, and that God would not allow you to be tempted with something you could not overcome, therefore, people who have gay tendancies could overcome it if they truly wanted to.

Personally, I don't believe there is anything wrong with being homosexual. Many religious will tell you it is a sin, because of Leviticus 18:22 "you [men] shall not lie with mankind as with womankind; it is abomination". But believe what you want.
