Let's say you die, and you don't disappear. You end up face to face with the creator, God if you wish. Let's say He's everything the Bible promises. How would you like that? I have some issues with God's actions in the old testament, but I would give him a chance to explain himself.

You are surprising me. You sound like Christians. And that's not a moot point.

I'll bite.

Assuming I die and me Jehovah I'm sure that I'd find him to be like one of those kids who cackles like a lunatic when someone falls in the cafeteria. He's got a sense of humor, but it's got a mean-streak a mile wide through the middle of it.

I guess it would be okay if he let me through the pearly gates, but based on how he runs the Earth I'm willing to bet that even heaven comes with some serious catches. It's probably like one of those places with great brochures, but when you get there it's just a ratty tourist trap where everything is really expensive and the food is terrible. Meanwhile he just laughs and points at the sign that says "No Refunds."

I am a Christian. And like I have told others who have said to me, "What if there really is no God"?

Well, I would much rather put my faith in God (and I do believe), than not to believe, and then end up burning in fire forever, and ever and ever...

Because once you are in front of him, its to late to wish you had of believed!

So, im taking my chances with the big guy!! And I will forever pray that many who are lost, find their way.

As for you giving him a chance to explain...lol What a joke! Time is his, not yours.

“et's say He's everything the Bible promises. How would you like that?”

Ha ha ha! Then you are really in deep trouble, this entity eliminated murdered an entire world by drowning them because he didn’t like what they were doing (the flood), and did so without warning them (in our world if a company was to fire you because they don’t like what you do and didn’t even warn you about it you could sue that company and get a major payout, and your are very much alive). He expelled Adam from paradise for disobeying him even though he was coaxed into doing so by the devil, not only did he punish Adam but all of his descendants for all of eternity (in our society we don’t punish the sons of criminals, much less do we punish people for all of eternity not even in the worst crimes). He eliminated all of the first born of all the Egyptians including the animals because the Pharaoh would not let the Jews out of Egypt, that was tantamount at this entity killing your first son because he didn’t like what Bush is doing, what guilt do you have at what the leader of this nation does? Clearly that is a vindictive, capricious and amoral entity, if faced with it you are as likely to be condemned for all of eternity in the pits of hell as you are to be eliminated in a puff of smoke.

So, you ask how would I like that? Well, I wouldn’t.

Strange question: It's hard to answer it because it's a question formed in a christian brain. There are so many "ifs" involved, and it seems to boil down to "what do you do IF I'm right?"

Since religion is created by us to (ideally) elevate us, then those who have chosen NOT to have this framework in place really have no answer. Atheist follow a path of no spiritual power, so since we create our own religious reality by answering your question an atheist person must (admit) have a religious framework. What a slippery slope.

Why are people always thinking they are more righteous and just than God? Ever occured to you atheists that God may know few things you don't? (Yes, He does exist!)

Human beings have screwed this planet up! Humans and humans alone! If you want to place blame look in the mirror!

I'd suppose I'd say something like, "Well, I did my best, I screwed up and I still feel bad about that, but if You wanted me to be something other than what I am, then You should have made me different. So now whaddaya think?"
