Whats wrong with peace on you. Sometimes we say piss on you. We don't find anything wrong with that. I personally I would like to see the saying changed to piece on you.

Because we bless all our prophets with peace. P-Peace B-Be U-Upon H-Him.
Example: Abraham (pbuh) so on......

because we muslims wish peace for everybody so we say peace be upon him when mentioning the prophet Muhamed and also when a muslim passes by some people he says peace be upon you

We say "May be peace upon " for Mohammed and all the other prophets cited in Qur'an. One of the reasons is because we admire him and show our love and respect for him, and for his teachings.

a) prophet mohammad(PBUH) said :(who ever prrayed for me once god shall pray for him/her 10 times) not literly and note pray does not mean worship
b)any prayer upon any one in the univearce you gain grades for that
c)subhan allah masha' allah and much more stuff you get closer to god by those words and satan well get far from you
d) any dead person you are not allowed to pray anything for him/her but PBUH
e) PBUU the last u is for you

Mo has been elevated to a nesr god - against their religion but they do it anyway.. Its a sign of respect for the guy who gave them his village god - the moon god--allah.
