No matter what happens, there will always be believers and non-believers. Governments have tried to wipe out religions and culture before (ie. the Holocost) but yet belief in God has persisted in so many forms. There are a lot of people who don't take their faith seriously, and atheists are usually outspoken, but most people believe in God or at least some sort of religion. Religion will actually "die" with the second coming of Christ during the End Times since we'll be with God and there will be no need for organized religion.

You say everyone is becoming atheist, I think everyone is becoming ' spiritual'. Which, may in fact be the same thing.
I think people are becoming spiritual because it requires no mass at 6AM when you'd rather sleep and be 'spiritual' in your bed. HOWEVER, religion, as any concept, will never die. True, pessimists and atheists are growing in numbers, but there will never be a day when people don't need something to believe in. Pess. and atheism may be contagious, but it will never work fast enough to contaminate the entire world altogether.
Think about this... religion is only another way to seperate people, right? I've heard that is another reason why people are becoming spiritual.
Ghandi once said, "I like your Christ, I hate your Christians, your Christians are nothing like your Christ." Maybe if followers had the balls to be good people, we wouldn't need to become atheists.

What's a theist? Is that the same as a theologist? A student of theology or just the opposite of atheist?
Where did you get the idea that everyone is becoming an atheist? That will never happen. Religion will be with us till the end of time. I know more people who are joining churches than are becoming atheist.

Everyone is not going to become an atheist. Even atheists aren't really atheists. The knowledge of God is built into humanity. Even atheists know deep down that He's there. They just deny Him.

If you are feeling this way, I encourage you to look deeper in your soul for answers, because you don't get an answer by avoiding the topic and to become and athiest, is essentially how to do that.People who search for other answers and have doubt, that is the way of satan, doubt seperates us from God to find our eternal path through Jesus Christ to the kingdom.
You were given a great gift through Jesus, and whether you choose to accept it or not will be the most powerful choice you will ever have to make, and one that you cannot change when your day comes.

Evolution.
The weak religious-minded will eventually die out as the human mind increases in science and advances past ancient fairytales of souls and devils...etc.

i think that as technology progresses, humans will have less need for a god, after all, why do you need to pray if a machine will cure cancer?
however, i think that certian people will always follow religion, even as the older pagan faiths were stamped out by the christian faith, they were revived. people wouldn't stop following them, even though they aren't considered a real religion by the vast majority of people. (who are of course, one of the big three..)
So some people will alway follow religion. others will leave it for a lack of need.

unfortunately, slowly. over the next 20-30 years itll lose more and more support. as it loses support itll die faster.
an animal, before it dies, makes more noise than it did when it was healthy. so as were seeing now...religion (christianity to be exact) is becoming louder.....but eventually itll die.
thankfully too.

yea sorry dude religion isn't going anywhere and eventually you will be responsible for your actions in this life. Sorry to dissappoint you but God does exist and you will find that out. At least God loves you no matter who you are and how much you deny him.
