I live in a council house which I bought myselve. I live on a council estate but don't live off the government. Many of my neighbours are very good and helpful and I wouldn't class them as chavs. So why do people always seem to generalise about those who live on council estates?

Olson, a 24-year-old St. Olaf College graduate, was found dead in the trunk of her car late Friday night. She was last seen by friends on Thursday morning, when she went to meet someone in Savage, Minn., about the job, which authorities said she had found on Craigslist.

I've never used the site but I have looked at it. It seems very generic and fake. I've heard about people setting up robberies by placing ads and prostitiution. I mean what's up with it? Just curious to know what your experience has been?

-Does anyone know of such places? I would really enjoy a mountain setting such as say West Virginia, but I am open to almost anywhere.

-I would want to live in an area that has access to roads, butr these places need to be well off the main roads. I wouldn't want to live in the wilderness, I just want a place with very few people that is calm and secluded.

-I don't think I'd like the American south (places like Alabama, Louisiana, but might be open to Arkansas)

-I think the north would be my preference and if there are such places in the northeast that would also be great.

-A location that has lakes, four distinct seasons, and is in a mountainous area would be my preference, but again any secluded places in the mainland US are desirable.

-states like Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, West Virginia, Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire would be first tier places for me.

-any information on secluded/serene places to live would be appreciated greatly.

that someone would go into your house , and steal your digital camera ,but not steal all of the other valuable things in your house. I have been going crazy looking for my digital camera , and its not even a brand name. But i don't understand why a person would go into ones house and just steal a camera, i mean my BF's PS2 is there plus all of the accesories , then there are the tv's how about all of my jewelry. I don't get it... No one has visited me , so i just can't put two and two together...

Is it young people smoking pot? Or the rise of crystal meth among youth? Do you think kids are being overprescribed drugs to treat ADHD? Is tobacco the biggest threat? How about alcohol and it's abuse which leads to deaths?
What issue needs to be addressed right away? Or what issue has been blown out of proportion?

I want to know if you look down on people that like to get high. Do you think it is a "loserish" thing to do? OR is not that bad. I have been smoking for 2 years and I love it. I am nervous most of the time and it takes the edge off. I know that I could do other things to take the "edge" off but weed really makes me feel better. And yes I smoke anywhere between 2 and 4 blunts a day. I have a full time job and pay my rent and bills.

I'm American, but for some reason, my entire life I've felt foreign, like I don't belong here. I look on TV and the majority of those people don't look like me. When I do see people who look like me, they are often portrayed in a negative light. I decided to ask this question, because I'm currently serving in Iraq and I feel the same way over here. I feel alone. There are only a handful of black people here on base, and you begin to feel like an immigrant. Now, I'm not one of those people who can't function around caucasians, however it would be nice to experience the same comfort they seem to experience when 95% of the people they work/live with and see on tv look like them. It shouldn't matter what race people are...says the man who lives in the exclusive white neighborhood and goes to the prodominantly white high school or university? It's human nature to feel more comfortable around people of your own race. Personally, I would prefer it to be evenly populated w/ various races.

I went to an actual lingerie shop (not trashy one, proper one!) and also I am getting fitted for an actual weding dress. Okay, I admit I still have to get fitted for the dress, but I've done the first test. How many of you would be brave enough to do this - or am I just too pleased with myself? Maybe lots of you have done this. The more the better I say.

Well I'm 17 and I don't have a license or a car. I've had a few people come up to me and asked me if I was embarassed that my parents had to take me everywhere, but the thing is I don't do enough to have a car. Of course now that i'm involved in drama club it's a slight problem, but I have friends and my sister would help out too. It would just be a waste of money. What do you think? Is it uncool?

there are millions without jobs and homeless there just seem to be enough room for all of us. Idk wether you noticed or not but every two people per couple are having kids from three to four kids and the population is increasing and increasing. Look at those tall buildings sky scrappers all with floors of hundreds of people working there. You know hard it is to find a decent place to live in these days. I think that we are becoming over populated I think if there were less people in the world we'd all have jobs and living in a nice decent homes. Your views please.

I was in Costa Rica recently and a Brit and a French Canadian wanted my take on the political situation in the U.S.A. It made me wonder...

What do citizens of other countries, like the UK, Canada, France, etc. generally say about us (the USA) in their conversations?

And to the people who disagree with our (the Americans') current involvement in world affairs, I'd ask, please remember that not everyone is part of the stereotype. Some (a whole bunch) of us don't agree with what's going on and are tearing our hair out over the ignorance and apathy that the members of the majority apparently share.
