safety of tea consumption depends upon the quality of tea
Lari galla Chai whichis boiled with leaves for 2 hours untill essence has beeen dissolved 3 cups may be too much
If u take truck driver tea which is specfied on milage basis, 2 cups will knock u out . U may have heard on High way dhabas
driver asking 200 Kilometer kee chai banodey ( give tea for 200kms ) --tea which will keep me awake for next 200 kMs
If u take lightly boiled tea withlow sugar spaced 2/3 hours 6 cups wil not be harmful. ( do not use the same leaf again and again like tea stalls outside government offices use)
Green Leaf tea and highly processed hav ediifeeren tpotency
excess sugar in tea does more damage to ur health

I believe that the recommended daily intake of tea is approximately 4 cups per day. HERE are some links for your information about health etc.
I hope this helps.
I normally drink about 2 or 3 cups of tea per day, sometimes have 2 tea and 1 coffee but I drink a lot of water type drinks which are suppose to be healthier.

If your age more than 30 years and you live in cold country, you can consume 100ml. TEA for five to six times daily. If you are in a hot country and your age is below 30 years you have to consume 100ml. TEA only twice. Over and above this will give troubles, that is all I know. Yours,

You should try asking this in the health section. As a guess, I'd say no more than 8, 8 oz cups for a total of 64 oz.
