Don't you think that, they would like to eat a healthy hot meal everyday?
Do you think the media and big BUSINESS should do more positive things for the homeless and needy families?
Where / how should they begin?

I heard two people talking. Both african american. One said she likes men out of the black race but is not attracted to them romantically or sexually. Only on a friendship basis. The other person said that that is racist. What do you all think?

I know im not extremly wealthy but I think it is ridiculous that these "stars" get paid millions of dollars and then they get on tv saying that the education system needs to be fixed or they feel sad for the homeless. It seems like people with little to no money are the most giving. I know for a fact that they have enough money to improve something rather than sit on their cash throwns and talk about world problems.

Does this frustrate you as well?

I just hate when people with money say they try to help. Like environmentalists saying they are trying to conserve energy and save endangered species by driving around in H1's?

It implies that they kill animals and cause pollution!

I saw an ad in the newspaper for an Oriental Massage at some place. FIRST of all, are all Oriental Massage parlors what I think they are (Happy Endings, Illegal, etc.)? SECONDLY, if they are, then how or why would they advertise? THIRDLY, what kind of massage is it...swedish, relaxing, deep tissue, etc.? ALSO, if a woman went to one would she recieve some sort of 'happy ending' as well??

Do you give it because you just do or don't like the answer? Because there is ignorance involved? Or may be the person really tried to give a good answer... or maybe they didn't at all?? How do you judge a thumbs up or thumbs down???

It seems to me that many parents are extremely over-protective and try hard to keep their children in the dark about the issues of the world. I know that there are many who don't do this, but I am surprised to see how many that do.

I knew all about the issues taking place in the world, both the good and the bad, and about the functions of human relationships, and all of that other good stuff, when I was no older than 6.

I was never banned from watching rated R movies, and I saw many horror and psychological thrillers at the same age, and it never bothered me, or screwed me up. I think it does depend on the child, but I was quite mature for my age, and able to understand the difference between fiction and reality. I even used to rationalize things to myself.

My point is, my parents never hid the facts of life from me when I was younger, and now I feel like I am more stable and able to face the world than many other people I know.

What does everyone else think?

Two of the interns at my work are friends who go to the same school, have been friends since freshman orientation. They have the same common (for their generation) first name and same very common last initial. One is black and one is white. They refer to each other as "Black ______" and "White ______" and encourage friends, instructors, and now us to do the same.

Well, someone took offense. I actually think it's kind of cute, and most of us have fallen into using it too, but I wondered what others thought.

In all of my text books, etc, they always read, "African Americans and whites". The more correct term for "whites" would be Caucasian, which means that one's ancestors descended from Caucasia.

Text books should read African Americans and Anglo/Caucasian Americans, or simply blacks and whites, not African Americans and whites, Do you agree?

It's really hard for me to get someone I like. I don't think I have a problem with my look, I have confidence. I have a good sense of humor, and I'm really nice. But, when it comes to guys over here, I'm totally comfortable with them. I have alot of close guy friends, but I just can't seem to get them to be more than that. I'm not a geek or whatever high schoolers and Jr. Highers use these days. Is it because of my race's genetics? This is me.
