I will sell it to you for the reduced price of 99,999.95 but only if you act within the next ten minutes. You will not find a better price anywhere and this is NOT sold in stores. I'm so sure you will like this item that if you do not, simply return it at your expense along with a postage paid self addressed envelope and I will give you 3 percent of your money back. Act quickly, you don't want to be the last one on your block without one.

Why do people have to buy buy buy to be happy. Is it brainwashing from TV commercials. Never before has there been so many Americans so deeply in debt. What happened to "living within your means" aka, spending a little less than you earn.

People grive over miscarriages.
Men, i.e. Scott Peterson can be charged for murder for the death of an unborn baby.
Abortion is a conscious decision to commit these acts yet they have different consequences. Why?

(This is not based on my opinion. You will not find my opinion in this question. It is just an attempt to generate discussion and hear different perspectives of logic.)

Yahoo Answers is a great way to disseminate information.
But I see a lot of 13 yr olds in Yahoo Answers getting answers from worldly adults. I believe many adults who answer questions don't take a moment to determine whether or not the questioner might be an impressionable 13 yr old.
Overall would you say yahoo Answers is a force for Good or Evil

When you first started smoking, what was the reason you started? Did you think it was cool? Was it peer pressure? I am curious about why people start smoking.

Is it just me or are Americans very shy about meeting their neighbors compared to people in other countries? I've seen people in Asia and Europe are usually close friends with their neighbors, have neighborhood parties, visit each other's houses, etc. I never see this in the US, even in tighter quarters like apartment buildings. Any explanations?

I hate the suburbs!

I hate how you have to commute by car all the time, or not commute at all. Walking is a pain where everything is so far away, and ditches, barking dogs, tons of weeds, and the heat get to you.

Cars also don't provide me satisfaction, with bills, oil checks, maintenance, and a bazillion other things.

Houses look pretty much the same with little character. Old suburbs die and become gentrified.

Neighbors keep to themselves in their gigantic houses, and don't come out often.

Suburban lifestyle is related to obesity.

Suburbs lead to uncontrolled growth, with ugly strip malls, vacant lots, etc.

Traffic increases with no centralized public transportation.

And a bazillion other reasons.

The ONLY good thing is usually better schools, and cheap prices than the city. But that's it.

So why do Americans love the suburbs? It's so awful.

If the flames finally came your way after waiting all day in a widespread fire "storm", after pets and papers, what would you grab in 2 minutes to go evacuate?

I "think" the fires haven't come any closer than 3 miles, but the wind is gusting to 50mph and swirling directions. Watching fire-stories on tv all day and cats & Shiloh-dog indoors. Eyes stinging, lousy air-quality

Nowadays, some people are beginning to worry about the issue of human overpopulation and the environmental effects that such a large amount of humans have on this planet. We are seemingly using more and more resources per person as the years go by. However, I know many families that have a lot of children. From what I understand, some countries have placed a limit of some sorts on how many children a family can have. In order to keep the population from exponentially increasing, having 2 or less children per family would be the way to go. (one child to "replace" the mother, one child to "replace" the father) However, I know many families that have 4, 5, 6 or more children. Hundreds of years ago, this was considered normal, but there were far less people, the average life span was significantly less, and there were no environmental concerns. At this point in time, it is morally, ethically, or environmentally correct to have such large families? What do you think?

A National Association for the Advancement of White People?

We already have the NAACP. If people want to look at this a racist issue, then it would be only fair to have a NAAWP. Or what about a NAAMP for Mexican people?
Or an NAAFP for French people?
I am just trying to be fair here.
