some are some aren't. it's not like they're not supposed to be just because of their weight. they can act anyway they want to. :) that's all women of all races, not just black women.

Because women are The masterminds and the major influences behind the media. And it's also an opportunity for them to brainwash their male viewers into thinking that a certain type of woman is undesirable or not worth approaching.

Because in black families there are oftentimes strong black women who act as matriarchs in the family; the attributes of which are as you described. These matriarchal figures are often portrayed on tv and movies. It's not that they're "fat' per se, but larger than life.
My grandma was like that, although she wasn't big. She was very strong and confident. I remember as a kid I was amazed when my father, who I was afraid of, was afraid of his mom (my grandma).

Because usually they ARE NOT afraid of anyone. They are taught to be strong black women and be proud of who they are, and not let anyone push them around. Fat has nothing to do with it. Fat white women are too protrayed and mean and rough on TV.

because most are, it's the life they have been raised in..they need to be that way. I would have rathered you asked your question about all women but it's not the case for all races of women.

I know it sounds racist but the ones I worked with who could be described as you say, were very loud. You could hear them anywhere. If they disagreed with you they would get in your face and whittle you down with sharp mean words. If I had to ask a question as a new person on the job they would just glare at me and walk away.
I am very small, very white, very quiet.
