My legacy will go on even 100 years from now. I am investing my time and energy in passing on info to the next generation. Something I am sure will stick with them and it will be passed on to the generation after that. Heck, I am still passing on things from my grandmother and she has been dead for 12 years!

While we're here we might as well enjoy things and in some cases this means having to use money so therefore I work!

100 years from now is still a long way away - I couldn't not work and not have decent things while I'm alive and kicking - I mean, I live in the UK where not a lot of things are free!

Work = money = food, rent, objects, etc.

That is not true since the you you are talking about will still be matter or energy. The other or real you (soul) has not nor ever will be matter. Now all this really matters whether you believe it or not. So we work hard for only what matters. Hopefully, this other matter will now be more important for you. Please keep this other matter in mind since your pile of bones will still be matter 100 years from now. And this is not a matter of opinion.

I work this hard because I am not one of the high maintenace women who have someone to pay their way. The bills have to be payed and to have a life takes $. The only reason I matter today is because people depend on me, when they are done needing me I wont matter at all, same with everyone else.

Cerainly my bones won't mattter, but the effect I had in my life time will.
This could be through the off spring I produce; how I treat others or my habitat;
or the things I create whilst in here.
It all has a knock on effect whether large or small.

What else are you going to do in 'life'?

Yes, you will be dust or a part of a pretty lawn somewhere in 100 years, but now, you're living in the flesh. You have to do something don't you?

To provide for my children and the ones I love (and by extension their children and their loved ones), and to give them a good education and some leg up in life, so they (hopefully) can live better and suffer less when I am just a pile of bones and cannot be there for them.

100 hundred years from now I'll only be dust. I've donated my entire body to medical science and when they finished with it-it will be cremated! I work for my family!

Tis all vanity, right?
just think of life this way- it's not the journey's end, but the experience of the trip on your way there thats the fun part.
What gives you the most satisfaction: your finished product, or creating it?
