Well I'm 17 and I don't have a license or a car. I've had a few people come up to me and asked me if I was embarassed that my parents had to take me everywhere, but the thing is I don't do enough to have a car. Of course now that i'm involved in drama club it's a slight problem, but I have friends and my sister would help out too. It would just be a waste of money. What do you think? Is it uncool?

NO...Actually its pretty cool that you are smart enough to figure out that you don't need a car.

I'm 22 and don't have a car. Or a license. My boyfriend, who is 28, is the same. We just never had a need for a car. Everything we want to do is close by, we live on the bus routes, and when we need to go get groceries and stuff, I just get a ride with a friend.
Sometimes it's a hassle, like, when we wanna go to the cabin on the weekends alone, or stuff like that. And sometimes it sucks asking people for rides all the time...but, I don't think it's uncool.
Most people think it's pretty cool actually, because we are supporting mass transit, which is very cool.

I'm 19 and I just got my license over the summer. I still don't have a car either. It doesn't really matter to me if people think it's "uncool". Circumstances have just not worked out in my favor regarding those things.

You sound like you know what you want and don't want and why. Not uncool, just practical.

Kind of depends on your friends... different people will have different reactions.

I know of people who live their entire lives without ever learning to drive.

No its not. Just tell people that at least your not stinking up the environment with your carbon emissions.
