Answer this question (not necessarily on this board) and you'll have your answer:

If you had to choose between your child marrying someone of a different race who was educated, well traveled, well spoken, shared many common interests, treated your child like gold and a person of the same race who had no such attributes and didn't treat your child nearly as well, who would you choose and why?

It depends on what reasons you have. I don't necessarily have a problem with my daughter marrying someone of a different race if he was good for her, but I wouldn't really want her too just because I would be afraid of how she would be treated by others. I would not want her to have that kind of stress. If she did meet a man of a different race that was good to her, I would care for him the same as I would for any potential son in law.

Yes. This shows that you do not hold all races to be equal.
Now if by race you the Human race then expecting your child to marry someone of the human race and not of the monkey race then that is cool.
When you expect that your child will marry with someone of the same color of skin as they have closes their mind to the possibility that all PEOPLE are the same despite skin pigmentation. Besides mixed race babies are so cute.

I think your discriminating and you should let your child marry whoever they want. I think if your child loves someone and they would be happy marrying that person then no matter what their race is you should want the best for them and want them to be happy.

No, but if you impose this idea on your child too much, they might rebel so it's probably best to set a good example for your child and ensure that they will feel proud of his/her her heritage instead. Then they may be more likely to want to stick to their culture.

If you try to prevent them from marrying outside of theri race,I would say it makes you a meddling parent. Your adult children have the right to choose whom they wish to marry.

If you keep your opinion to yourself, then I wouldn't say you are racist or meddling.

I don't think so. Whatever they want to do you just want them to be happy but the children of a mixed marriage often suffer for it.

It depends on why. if you feel bonded to your race and culture fine, but if see other races as unacceptable , inferior or undesirable then yes its racist.
