It's only your heightened perception of these people that makes you notice when they go early or stay late. Good people can live a long time too.... A woman I take care of is 101, and if I make it that far and have HALF the good attitude she does I would consider myself a success. She's really a joy to work with.
It might also be that we wish the good people would stick around longer and we wish the bad ones would disappear, so if they live the same length of time, one seems too soon and the other seems too late.

People, good and bad, die for all kinds of reasons -- they do something really dumb, genetics, environmental causes, accidents, being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Not everyone who lives a long time is a not-so-good person; not everyone who dies young is good.

The good die young so they can go to paradise sooner than the not so good who are forced to endure what's so often the crap of living.

Because people who die young haven't had a chance to really screw up yet. Old folks have had years and years to get their debauchery and villainy down to a fine art.
