Why is it that some people just seem to skate threw life, with no problems? I know people who are emotionless, break hearts, vain, shallow, lie, superficial, don't want any responsibility. But yet nothing seems to phase them. And other people I know are caring, loving, honest, and handle responsibility. But they can never get a break. Something always happens, like the car breaking, money problems, relationship problems, illness. Why do you think that is? just bad luck?

How many of you were aware that this is international women's day?

How many of you can remember, or are aware what things used to be like for women?

How many of you can name a woman who has made a contribution to the better life most of us now have?

Do you know the author of this poem

My hands were busy through the day, I didn't have much time to play. the little games you asked me to, I didn't have much time for you. I'd wash your clothes, i'd clean and cook, but when you'd bring your picture book, and ask me please to share your fun, I'd say,m "A little later son "
I'd tuck you in all safe at night, and hear y9our prayers, the turn out the light, I wish I'd stayed a minute more, for life is short, the years rush past, A little boy grows up so fast.
No longer is he at your side, His precious secrets to confide.

The picture books are put away, There aren't any games to play,No goodnioght kiss, no prayers to hear, That all belongs to yesteryear, My hands once busy , now lie still, The days are long and hard to fill , I wish I might go back and do, The little things you asked me to.

And if you do believe this, what would you like to see done about it?

If you don't believe it was an inside job...

1. Explain to me where the bodies of flight 93 are (because this was the first land crash in history where no bodies or peices of a plane were ever found),

2. Explain how the black boxes could not be found in the rubble of the WTC, but the terrorists paper passport was found in the rubble.

3. Explain exactly how building # 7 fell (because it was never hit by debris), and why the owner said it was because they decided to "Pull it".

4. Explain why building # 7, though asked about several times, is never even mentioned in the 911 commision report.

5. Explain why 7 of the terrorists that reportedly flew the planes are alive and well living in their own countries (one of the owns a gas station in Saudi, one is an airline pilot for AE, etc...

don't make statements without proof.

I have all the proof to back up everything here. E-mail me.

im not anti religion {brought up a roman catholic}but do you not think that religion has brought a lot of unnecessary death and destruction to this planet for many generations? the middle ages had the crusades wars, weve had world wars, civil wars,i was brought up in a country that had daily deaths and bombings all in the name of catholic and protestant faiths, hardly any country hasnt been affected by wars over religion with countless millions of lives lost because of it and now we have the threat of terrorist attacks from muslims all in the name of religion, Has religion done more bad than good, what do u think?

I ask questions to get peoples responses to particular things that interest me. I like to get a variety of views on different subjects. Some of the questions I ask are in direct opposition to my own beliefs but I pose them to see if I would still hold the same belief given different outlooks on things.
It is a closed , narrow and bigoted mind that doesnt take on board other peoples opinions .

If you could get what you wanted done by manipulating the person rather than nagging or bribing or getting angry at them would you do it ?
or do you think it is morally wrong to manipulate people for whatever reason.?
Do we all not manipulate people to a certain extent within our lifetime.?
What if what you want them to do is for their own good ? does that make it more acceptable ?

I have an American friend and, during conversation earlier today, asked him what the weather would be like in his corner of America this time of year.

He politely informed me that, as a country, 'America' doesn't actually exist, as it's full name is the 'United States of America', and that calling the country simply America is actually a very common misnomer. Is this true?

I am an athiest, mostly because there are facts backing evolution. People who are religious are mislead, I mean, do you really think when you go to "heaven" or whatever you are really gonna be greeted by 77 virgins? umm..yeah. Why are religions changing rules of sports and so on? In Ottawa there are muslims who are challenging that human rights are being violated because some girl can't wear her head scarf playing soccer. To me this is ridiculous. She should join a muslim only league. There are people starving out there and 89 percent of muslim women abroad can't even read. Why is this girl an issue? If you don't like the rules, don't play the game. Are we gonna change all sports to fit all religions? Give me a break, who is protecting my human rights by listening to these people? I feel bad that the Canada that I grew up in isn't the same one that my son will grow up in. If these muslims are so gung ho on keeping their traditions sacred, then move back to where you came from!!

I am trying to write a piece for my local paper regarding the arms market and gun crime in the UK. As I live in a medium-sized, rural town gun crime is non-existent, however I want to travel to somewhere where gun culture is prevalent and talk to the young people actually involved in gun culture on a friendly, anonymous basis.

Where is the best place for me to go (a friend mentioned Nottingham or Manchester), and how might I reasonably get to talk to these people without risk to my personal safety? I am not out to expose or chastise them but just to find out about life in these circles as someone of their own age.

Thanks for all sensible answers.

I try to tell the male students I come in contact with it isn't appropriate to wear them in that way. I'm trying to prepare them for the adult working world. They feel it is okay. Some people have told me it started in the prisons and has a sexual meaning, while others say it began back in the '70's. So please, no jokes, insults, etc. Just an honest and complete answer. If there is a website I can go to please let me know. I'm sure some of you feel it isn't a problem but I have the task of trying to get these young men ready for job interviews. Thanks for your assistance.
