Picture this. You are driving with 4 friends on a highway on your way home from a party. A drunk driver swerves from an opposite lane and hits your car head on with his truck, killing two of your friends instantly. You are pinned down in the backseat, and the gasoline tank catches fire. The flames surround you as you scream, but the paramedics can't get you out of the burning wreckage in time. Meanwhile, your other friend has been rushed to the hospital in critical condition. When the flames on the car die down, you are still alive, and after many hours, they free you from the wreck and put you on an ambulance. When you finally wake up in the hospital, you find that both your friends had died, and your other friend is still in the hospital. You see that the fingers on both your hands are amputated due to the burns, and that you have lost your nose, ears, hair, and lips. You are partially blind because the fire has scorched your eyes, and the burning pain is unbearable.

Additional Details

The drunk driver that hit you was fined 50,000 dollars and given 7 years in prison. You eventually start walking again, but you are permanently disfigured, and have lost most control of your hands because you have lost most of your fingers. A cornea transplant helps you regain some eyesight, but you are still impaired visionally. Children hide or stare when you pass by in public places. Would life still be beautiful? Could you forgive the person who did this?

Does anyone know that whole asian (i think primarily Korean) meaning behind giving a jar of origami stars to a guy? I was told it is supposed to be a symbol that she wants to be with him or something along those lines. Is that the actual meaning? Anyone have any different answer?

I don't mean cars that were done distastefully like those guys that just put a loud muffler on their car and a load of other crap...the guys that actually make their car look good.

Do ladies like guys that drive around "souped-up" cars? Cool? Not? Hot?

Tonight on American Idol Antonella Barba was kept on the show even though she is the weakest singer on the show. I'm dissapointed in the people who voted for her. I'm even more dissapointed in the producers that didn't kick her off the show. A few years back another contestant got kicked off for posing for topless pictures. Antonella has shots of BJ's and stays on the show?.. Who in their right mind dances nalf naked in a fountain dedicated to all the lives sacrificed for our country. What was she thinking?

This brings me to a new point. Miss America! Our current Miss America got to keep her title even though she doesn't have a clean record. Vanessa Williams got a foot in her *** years ago. Why are these competitions bending the rules for these immoral bitches?

Why in the world did America vote to keep Antonella on the show? Shouldn't the American Idol be someone our kids can look up to? Do we really want to show our kids that naked pictures can get you to the top?? Sad.. very sad!

As a Military Brat, I often wonder, "What do the civilians think about me?" Seriously. I know I have my pre-concieved notions about civilians (non-military people), one of them being that they generally don't care about the world outside of the US. I know I'm wrong in thinking that, but that it how I percieve them.

So. What do you civilians think about Military Brats?

I already asked this question but no one really got it (sorry if I offended, I didn't mean to) so I rephrased it to be more neutral.

If someone asked the kid what race were they, what would they say?

It's a nature versus nurture question, I guess. I know society only seems to care about what colour the kids skin is but when someone adopts a kid they raise them their way and are supposed to take them entirely into their own family.

I also don't think different races raise kids very different it just.

I'm from europe and I visited my cousin in TX. It was sad to see how I heard and saw so many white people prejuging people of other races before they even knew them. A friend of my cousin who is black was treated differently than myself and my cousin at certain resturants and places we went to. It is really sad.

You work in an airport. You are a security officer, in charge of loading passengers. Out of 20 people in line, half have dark skin ranging from light to dark. Ages range from 15 to 60. Some look to be financially wealthy(nice clothes etc) some appear to be hovering near the poverty level. Based on sight alone, who do you pull out of the line to search belongings and person?
