I've been approached by several people who've seemed homeless. But my family and friends say that they're fakers. So everytime I'm approached, I say that I can't help them in any way because I don't have even control over my bank account, which is true since my parents think 17 is too young for a boy to be handling his own bank account. Anyways, are these people really poor or are they acting? Because every time I say I can't and walk, I have this terrible guilty feeling right at the bottom of my stomach. So what should I do? I think my family is wrong and right at the same time which has resulted in me getting very confused!! So what should I do next time?

I see some similarities there, the big one being that they were both acts of war on the U.S.

Are they really that stupid or just too lazy to do the research themselves?

And then you have the people who answer the stupid question with the very long and correct answer so you know they had to actually do the research and write the answer. Are they also stupid for actually doing the research for the stupid question asker or that desperate to maybe get two points?

I just watched a 20/20 episode called "Waiting On The World To Change" and kids in two different cities in New Jersey were being interviewed. Did anyone watch it?

While all the stories were sad, the little boy named Ivan who lives in Camden, NJ touched my heart deeply. He was only 4 or 5 yrs old and he and his mom and brother are homeless. And all he wanted to do was go to school......he was so cute and had such an innocent outlook on life. He was so scared on his first day of school and also so hungry. "When do I get to eat?", that was the first thing he asked his mom when she took him to school.

I won't keep going on about the show, but it seriously made me wonder why do we allow this? I mean, we take so much pride in being Americans, we are one of the richest countries in the world, so seriously, what can be done about it?

Does anyone REALLY care about the children that are starving or homeless in our very own country? I welcome any logical insight to this question.

This might come off as weird...But I have a question lol. What would you do if someone was trying to jock off your style and then claim it as theirs, and then try to make it seem like you're jocking off theirs. Like this one girl, I dont know if you noticed, but I took my pics with my necklace and everything, and a couple of weeks later, she goes and post the same kind of pics up, and so I told her that I noticed her pics, and I intended to say more bout how they looked so similar to mine, but I didn't. So you know, now she's trying to turn it around and say "Oh I see you totally digged my idea," Idea? Last time I checked I came up with those pic ideas on my own. And the funny thing about it is, I dress differently than everyone at my school, but a lot of people give me compliments, she doesn't. Yet, she copies my style. What do you think about that? lol

That's the feminist's 'logic' if things are reversed, right? He's tied [oppressed] to the stove whilst his wife is enjoying things on a freezing building site, right? He's allowed endless cups of tea [poor thing] whilst she's only allowed to eat or drink at meal times, right? This is all if we take the feminist's premise that to stay at home is 'oppression'.

Btw, the easiest job a person can have is sitting at home looking after kids. Trust someone who's done it for 8 years. It doesn’t get any easier than that, that's why no-one wants to pay anyone for doing it.

Oprah got some bad publicity when she made a comment about how grateful the children of South Africa are for an education. (when asked if they could have anything in the world, several young girls responded " A uniform so that I can go to school") Oprah stated that children in the US don't seem to appreciate the education they are given...they ask for things like ipods, the newest style shoe or clothing, etc...What do you think?

I hope that I am not offending anyone by asking this question, but I think it is interesting to consider. Morally slavery is wrong in today's society, but if we lived in a society where slavery were legal, would you own a slave.

Personally, I would love to have my own slave. I actually work with another girl who would be perfect. I would love to have her clean and cook for me and I would work her hard, though I would not mistreat her.
