That's the feminist's 'logic' if things are reversed, right? He's tied [oppressed] to the stove whilst his wife is enjoying things on a freezing building site, right? He's allowed endless cups of tea [poor thing] whilst she's only allowed to eat or drink at meal times, right? This is all if we take the feminist's premise that to stay at home is 'oppression'.

Btw, the easiest job a person can have is sitting at home looking after kids. Trust someone who's done it for 8 years. It doesn’t get any easier than that, that's why no-one wants to pay anyone for doing it.

Jacqui. I didn't say it was easy- I said it was easier. It is, it's a lot easier than going out working. If you don't know that then get a job.

He is only oppressed if his wife does not appreciate the value of his contribution to the marriage and if she chooses to "excersise unjust or cruel authority" over him based on her position of being a wage earner. In my opinion every job has a specific worth and therefore a specific amount of money that is paid for it. This has nothing to do with the value or in many cases not even the talent of the person doing the job. Who would pay the CEO of a large company their high pay to clean a carpet? No one of course because that job has it's own value based on many factors. I have hired people with doctorate degrees to clean carpet for my business. They did not get paid what they were worth but what the job was worth. The fact is a person who is lucky enough to stay home and raise children while their spouse works is easily being paid more than they often times think and unfortunately more than some partners will give them credit for. It is a shame that those who oppress and those who feel oppressed often have a very distorted value of life and marriage. Money is not the "root of all evil" but the people who earn it often times are. The feminist movement has done some good but as with so many movements it got very distorted and down right nuts in some things.

hmm, maybe considering that he has to do all the housework, do the laundy, go grocery shopping, buying clothes for little timmy and jenny because they cannot fit their own clothes, take her to ballet class, him to soccer, back to school, come home cook dinner for the tots check their homework, make dinner for the wifey, clean up the dishes clean the kitchen and then instead of plopping his head on the pillow he has to have sex with his "hard working" wife who justs sits at a desk pushing papers all day! yea i guess its an easy job
