We are a caucasian lesbian couple, expecting a baby boy any day now. We'd like to hyphanate our two last names, which would be Kanterezhi-Gatto, but are struggeling on the first name. We really like the name Dante, but think it might be too different for him. So, here is our other choices, please help us choose between: Dante, Jason and Nathan.

I know that the US is the most prosperous place and has excellent medical/job resources but it doesn't seem to be the best place to grow up. There is increasing corruption in the culture.

What is a country or region that you know of that is closest to being "free from sin" so to speak?

I'm thinking I'd have my kids born in US, leave to that near-paradise, and then have them return to US when they decide to return.

Sin leads to unhappiness and I want them to be happy during their lives.

I posted a recent one on here about the general view of Australians by the British in U.K. Many said that they thought Australians were criminal type people. What is the general view of the people who went to 13 colonies in America and what about Canada and South Africa?

cheer me up! I am really having a bad day. I'll go first:

Had latch replaced for the Beetle trunk. After grocery shopping, discovered the latch will not release despite hearing the release operate. (The trunk can only be opened by the driver's door release since there is no working lock on the trunk lid.) Before, it was almost impossible to get to shut properly.

I locked myself out of my office today while my key ring was seperated.

Repair person cannot find why my hot tub isn't working. In attempting to drain it tonight before the really cold weather hits, I accidently pulled the tubing out of the little pump that I bought to help remove the water. So I had to take the thing apart and put it back together.

The cat knocked my Palm Treo into my melting ice cream . . . I am letting the sync port dry, but who knows how much damage this could be.

Tonight, I washed and dried my work supplied pager with the laundry. This is a first. Ouch.

I don't know about you, but does it seem odd that the accuser in the Duke rape case had a father that allowed her to strip to pay her way though college. Seems odd, I would have worked 2 jobs to keep my kids out of that life. I also found out that a young girl from my old hood (14) just had a baby. What the heck is going on in black America?

I've come across many answers here where people use the term introverted as a "social handicap". I guess I just don't see it as such.

Why does everyone think that the best people in this world are extroverts? Why is being outgoing more acceptable and more attractive than being shy and personal? Is it today's American society? Does our media/entertainment industry have anything to do with this?

I'm just curious because I'm a very introverted person, but it doesn't mean I don't know how to interact with people. It just means, I would rather not. I'd like your input.

Thank you in advance.

The person who gives the best explanation, even if they disagree with me, will be awarded the ten points. :o)

By "age" I mean a physical number...like 4, 16, 32, 64, etc. Is life better when you are a teenager, a young adult, middle-aged, or a senior citizen? What do you think?

When they say "Does not prevent STD's or AIDS."

If you are under the impression that birth control prevents disease, should you even be having sex?

Is this a symptom of how America is still woefully behind when it comes to the education in sexual and reproductive matters.

Damn religious right.

Yeah, truth *can* hurt, but it's not necessary to go out of your way to make *sure* it hurts, is it?

...or, just, in general......what you think has maybe always been the case and still is...

And in addition, which do you think is the greatest issue of division specifically within only the U.S.? And if you care to elaborate, why?

We are a caucasian lesbian couple and are struggling with naming our baby boy to come any day now. We'd like to hyphenate our two last names and give him the first name as Dante. So, it would be Dante Kanterezhi-Gatto. Is that too different of a name for a caucasian boy with two mommies?
