Not sure about naive, but alot of them don't have common sense.

No, I've never really found that to be the case.
Generally, it's the person who has only "common sense" and a deep suspicion of education who is, in my experience, the most naive.

This question actually carries substance because I've come across many highly intelligent, book smart people and found that they tend to be socially handicapped. In other words introverted and shy.....naive as well.
Naah, I wouldn't say most educated people are like that. I'd say educated people generally tend to have a nice balance.

Possibly. It's pretty difficult to be educated to the level of "expert" on everything so there's bound to be some areas they may be a little naive in. Then again, maybe they're just be super-positive or refuse to be cynical. Or perhaps they're not that educated and they read one perspective and take it as absolute fact instead of reading more widely and developing their own opinion.
Just because someone may be "educated" or considered to be academically bright, it doesn't make them intelligent or wise.

You can still educate the educated... not everyone that has a degree is educated... they might be like some people who have the "books on top of their heads", they have the knowledge but don't use it in their own lives, or "the ones that are blind but think they can see" because they are too arrogant to listen to others just like youth... (not all)

alexis: Do you mean - book smart ... life dumb ? People are people and do "dance" to society's " tune" . Personally; speaking, I find people in general, are of various gifts and talents. Some people are more intelligent than others and some have better memories than others. My brother in-law is at a genius level I.Q. and has a photo graphic memory to boot. He is a professor of nuclear physics. He is smarter than (I would dare say) 98% of the people in North America ! But ... he has areas in life where he just can't cut it !!!
A Ph D degree is oftentimes, referred to as: Piled higher and Deeper !!!
