having a sexual drive is natural, actually a lot more natural than having a "hold hostage" drive or a "kill and rob people" drive.

I have a neighbor that is diagonally across from me on a private road in a tiny town in Maine. I have about .30 acre between me and his shack. I have a 60W bulb in a tasteful outdoor fixture that I leave on through the night. He objects to this. He says I am cramping his lifestyle and that my husband and I are "city" people that need to leave the area and go where people need lights. He cant sleep with our light shining in his window. He put curtains up, I offered to put a smaller bulb in-but he started cursing that my house NEEDS to be dark by 7 or so. I have MANY outdoor lights, but I use just that one in the front. All the other people on the street with the exception of one who has a motion light leave theirs on too, but ours is the one that bothers him. He heckles my husband when he is outside, screaming at the top of his lungs that my husband is a piece of "s" and a womens private part/we had to call the troopers once, didnt do much-now neighbor revs ancient truck every day at 7.

What would you need? For the sake of simplicity, lets say it wasn't anything involving (long-term) radiation. It could be an electromagnetic pulse, a "deep freeze" or something that disrupted worldwide communications and crippled most governments. What would you need to survive and why?

The first thing, sadly (besides the obvious food, water and fuel) that comes to mind, sadly, is a weapon. What do YOU people think? (Please don't write if you wouldn't want to survive, which I understand...I just want survival plans, mmmkay?)

Especially if you are serving in the military, I had that experience, I returned from Desert Storm at 19 and had to wait two more years before I could go get a drink in a bar. Stupid law if you ask me.

all companies in the UK are islamophobic because they will not employ me as i have to pray 5 times a day. How are we meant to work with such blatant racist policies by Christian fundamentalist companies. Sooner or later you will probably stop our job seekers allowance as well. Just leave us to practise our religion in peace.

I'm in a debate on Tuesday, arguing for this motion (i.e. America IS dumbing down world culture), I don't agree with this view, so I'm having trouble thinking up reasons. Can anyone who does agree with the motion help me out?

Most everyone from other countries or Americans who lived in other countries all claim that USA is the most racist. And aren't we the only country that allows organized hate groups such as KKK, Neo-Natzies and others like Rednecks?? And yet we punish the ones such as celebrities who speak up their opinions against other race or sexuality?? Isn't that a hypocrisy?

I split up with my baby's dad when I was 6 months pregnant because he was physically violent towards me. He was very unhappy that I finished with him and quite angry too - said that I wouldn't let him see the baby etc. I was fully prepared to let him see the baby, but now that she's actually been born I feel very protective & don't know whether I should or not.

I was brought up without a dad myself so I know how it feels and that it's NOT a good thing but my protective instincts are really kicking in. If he was violent to me, will he hurt my (sorry, our!) baby?

He hasn't seen her yet, but he wants to. I want him to see her but not if he's going to be abusive to me or her.

Anyone got any advice? Guys how do you feel about this?

I got an email the other day and I usually ignore things like this, but for some reason I read it and I was wondering if anyone else had heard of it or knew of a site where I can search to see if it's just an urban legend, which is probably what it is. In the email it said basically that someone will approach you in a parking lot and ask you what type of cologne or perfume you are wearing. They will then tell you they are selling name brand like scents at very low prices and you can sniff their sample card to find the one you like. Well, according to this email, it's not perfume, some kind of inhaled substance that will knock you out and then while you are passed out the people will take your money or whatever else, use your imagination. Anyone heard of this? It sounds like an old urban legend, but who knows.

I was wondering what all of you thought about judging others. I say it's wrong to judge, however, many other people argue with me saying that it's not wrong.

I say ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE. - after all, no one is perfect and no one knows everything, so who are we, inperfect, not all knowing human beings to judge others. I mean, we are all flawed, so how can we judge.

What so you think?

I graduated in 1989. Any way, I once saw a yearbook from my high school on e-bay and I began wondering what happens to yearbooks over the years. I still have mine in a box. Do you have yours and how long have you had it? Do you ever look at it? Do you plan to keep it or get rid of it? If so, how do you plan to get rid of it?

Wow! to the comments I received from my previous question; Why did my question and opinion offend so many? The offensive comments I received were a totally misunderstanding of the point I was trying to make. I have nothing against a taught artist with no natural gift of talent. Most can learn art, but there is a noticeable difference in talent. And just because I have a master's degree in art doesn't make me a know-it-all snob. It helps to take classes to learn the technology of it all, but it's NOT necessary to take the classes if you're gifted. I love all art and admire all styles, gifted or not. I hope this clears up any misunderstanding of me. I'm artistically gifted and very thankful to God for that, but I'm not the greatest like some of the jeolous snobs are making me out to be.
