I'm stuck about how to say the following;
1) How would I say "Been to" if I wanted to say Er has been to my grandmothers house and the Vets?"

2) How do I say how old someone is? I'm studying spanish and German at the same time and I keep getting them mixed up, I think one is "He has ___ years" and the other one is different..

Thank you!

I read the book, "The Incredible Journey" years ago. One of the dogs (male) is named, "Luath". I liked the name except for the "T", which makes it sound cumbersome when read/spoken. I named my German Shepherd (female) "Luah". I've recently seen this word On some Spanish V-blogs.

It's understandable if one isn't a native English speaker though. Although British kids as young as 8 seem to have a full grasp of grammar and proper usage. Why?

Is it with the quality of American English education or the level of education per se? People get defensive and bark back about not being English majors or this is not a university. But without malice, I'm talking about bungling up even simple, basic grade school grammar.

I reiterate, it's SOME, not all. Only objective answers please.

here are some common examples(and a lot of them couldn't even identify what are mistakes)
-grammer
-ain't nobody right letters no more
-compaired
-disorientated
-childrens do learn(c/o Bush himself, well...as expected)
- ten year anniversary
- don't take it personal (very common)
- she sings good
- their not invited
-with regards to
-were did you go
-he don't like that ....and a myriad of others to many to mention

I am a university student of English Language and Culture and I was asked to do an observation task: this means that I have to give some of my fellow students a grade for their presentation and give an explanation as to why I chose that certain grade.
Now the presenter produced the following sentence:
"You have the most pieces of the puzzle"
To me this sentence does not sound like a correct english sentence at all and I would like to get opinions about this from some native speakers.
