Sometimes this quote from the Gospel of Matthew, 12:34, and the Gospel of Luke, 6:45 is rendered without enim ("for").

It's Latin for "excessive caution", and is a variant of, "ex abuntantiori cautela" which means, "To be even more on the safe side"
