I'm stuck about how to say the following;
1) How would I say "Been to" if I wanted to say Er has been to my grandmothers house and the Vets?"

2) How do I say how old someone is? I'm studying spanish and German at the same time and I keep getting them mixed up, I think one is "He has ___ years" and the other one is different..

Thank you!

Since 'Vets' is capitalized, i don't think it's
vet - Tierarzt, but
Vets - Veteranen.

I think PJ Morris got it right.

"so ein Mist!" "so eine Unverschaemtheit!" or like dogtags says: Was für ein...? (ein have got to agree in gender and grammatical case, founded at the role of the noun within the sentence): ...Was für einen Tisch suchen Sie? ...Was für eine Dame ist sie? ...Was für ein wunderschönes Haus! zirp · four weeks in the past

PJ Morris is right. "Geist Koenig" is probably not a native speaker as his answer is incorrect.

he has been to my grandmother's house and the vet's = Er war bei meiner Grossmutter und beim Tierarzt.

he is __ years old = Er ist __ Jahre alt.

vet is short form for veterinarian, not veterans, as far as I'm informed, therefore: Tierarzt, not Veteranen!
