i have downloaded the album 300 Lesions from Kyo and track 3 is called Qui Je Suis, my translator says its Who i am, bu i think its Who Am I, because he says stuff like "Mon Dieu qui je suis?" and the video is about people who dont know then or dont recognize them... does any one know?

When I'm really in the mood, I want to talk about nothing but Japanese culture, the words and phrases I've learned, the progress I'm making with the language, etc. Naturally not everyone is as..... interested as me in Japan and I know how boring it can be if someone is going on about something you don't really care about. But there's no one I can really talk to who is equally crazy about Japan, the Japanese, the language and everything. No one on MSN, not even my family! I learn Japanese on my own on a really good free website, so no one around me is learning the language either. What do you think? I really do want to talk to another Japan-geek like me!

I noticed that the north americans can distinguish the pronunciation of these two words 'bad' and 'bed' even if they are uttered alone. I know english well, as a second language, for many years ( I am Brazilian), but this information surprised me, because I always thought that in american english the pronounce were exactly the same. Is is true? If you americans hear one of these two words separated, could you distinguish them? Thanks

Travling to France for the first time.(yes, more French questions from me) Is it more irritating to the French to hear an American speak their language imperfectly (even if it's close), or have an American speak English and hope they understand?

I'm trying to learn French before I go, but I'm wondering if I should just try to use my knowlege to understand what is being said to me rather than speak it myself. I'm afraid to try. It's for business and I don't want to look like a silly American fool.

I was hoping someone could translate these two sentences. They are on some headstones, and I believe they are German:

Der herr ist Mein Hirte
Mir Wird Nichts Mangeln

(This other one, I may have copied wrong, if the spacing is off, or I spelled something wrong, I apologize, they were pretty old headstones)

I work for a hotel in non English spoken country and I speak English only with my friends so I don't really know how to use "Sir". Are these use correct?

Here you go sir.
How are you sir?
Enjoy your stay sir.

Is it strange to say "sir" many times when customer check in? Is it strange to put sir to the end of every single sentences I speak to customers? or Should I do that? The hotel isn't high grade hotel and I'm the only person who speaks English in the hotel so every foreign customers talk to me :(

A friend of mine came across this phrase in his reading, and, since I'm the local Latin expert, asked me for a translation. However, I can't find "lorem" in my trusty Cassell's dictionary. Is it medieval Latin, perhaps? Also, the phrase appears to have two main verbs ("sit" and "amet"), causing me further confusion. Could someone please provide me with a translation and explanation for this? Thanks.
