Yey, definitely.
The past is over, the future may not exist, today is all we have.
I look upon this saying more in the sense of us accomplishing something each day than as 'life quickly goes by'. And accomplishing doesn't need to be only doing things, but being aware of the transiency of it all... Each day should be spent trying to do something good for the people around us, even simple acts of kindness count to the lonely, needy or sick.... If we're fit we should use it to good ends, and seize the day.
