I work in El Segundo (30 seconds from L.A. Airport) for the past 7 months now. Moved here from Eruope about 4 years ago, I speak German, French, .... and also other language fluently. I love to act, have never taken a theatre class, but I want a job or carrier most likely in the acting business but have no connections whatsoever. What should i do?

I'm interested in learning Japanese; would you recommend using textbooks, a computer program, both, or a different way? I'd like to learn it fluently (speaking, writing, and reading) versus a couple phrases here or there. What do you suggest?

I doubt that french or any other languages will be spoken in the us anytime soon. Why do teachers provide so many language courses for students to take? It's possible spanish may be used more than english in the u.s. sometime.
