Hi, I went through the same, the only difference is that I was the child whose parents wanted to teach Arabic. I lived in Europe for a long time and my Arabic language was non-existent at a certain age. My mother took a number of steps such as talking to me in Arabic, watching Arabic TV, Arabic tutor to teach me Arabic grammar as well as writing. To be honest, all the previously mentioned tools did not help a lot. What helped was having Arabic speaking kids my age that I played with at least twice a week, once i was able to read Arabic, books helped boost my Arabic language proficiency.

Anyways, at the end we ended up living back in Egypt, so Arabic is my mother tongue now.

At the ages of 3 and 4 years old, children are not ready for any kind of formal learning and memorization of a language foreign to them. At this age, children naturally learn their language by interacting with people around them. And the easiest way to teach them would be to take them for a year or two to an arabic-speaking country, where most people around them cannot speak English.

You can try integrating Arabic little by little, showing them objects and naming them in both english and arabic. Are you one of the Tunisians that also speak French? Your kids are still young and will adapt to the new language if you start soon. It will be fun for them and feel proud of their mom's language, integrate it slowly and you'll see.

Your children are very young and their little brains are like sponges. Start speaking to them at home in Arabic, they'll pick it up.
