I've just seen nine, yes nine magpies in a group. There's a rhyme about it, but I don't think it goes that far:

1 for sorrow, 2 for joy, 3 for a girl, 4 for a boy....can't remember the rest of it. Any ideas?

Obviously the english language isn't the native tongue, I just wondered if English was widely spoken in Portugal? (eg - if you were visiting the country would you be able to happily go about day to day life and be understood or would it be extremely difficult unless you knew how to speak portugeuse?

In anacademical paper of mine, I've written:

"He closes the article, which we found being very instuctive and well organized, considering the attitudes and feelings bilingual and monolinguals have, in general, towards bilingualism."

This "towards..." is employed correctly or in its place it should be "regarding to..."?

the "be" is on the 'bunch' so i think "is" is more correct, but i've seen "are" is more widely used

when it's "shall we say" retained? I'm talking in the long term. Several farts saved in succession. Providing they aren't reabsorbed, could they be hooked up to a small hose, which runs to an engine? Like say to power a blender or other kitchen applience? Would this be dangerouos, as in possibly causing an explosion? What saftey precautions could one take? Could this gas be sold back to the power company? And, what about neighborhood gas? Would that be a possability?

My question is: what does "For" in the sentence:
For the "Open Doors Program" Team
means?
I mean, is it proper English? Does "for" here means "on behalf of"?? Does "for" here mean that the people who sign the certificate (J. Smith A. Spencer MA Wright) belong to the "Open Door Program" Team or just that they are representing the Team but they do not belong to that Team?

Hi...if you are using the firefox, on addons.mozilla.org there's an extension calles "confuscator"....it mixes words... so Question = Quetiosn, and so on... but i am still able to understand all the text... why? are our brains so clever^^?
