You can try home remedies- lots of liquids, rest, eat a balanced diet, take a multivitamin. You can treat your symptoms with over the counter cold/flu medicines also. They will at least help you feel a little better, but wont get rid of the flu. You can also visit your family doctor. They can tell if you have flu or not, and there are some medications to shorten flu time that they can give you. Hope you feel better soon.

** I also do not believe the above post saying that flu shots are part of American biological warfare. This poster has someobvious political opinions he should share on another post. If when you feel better, your doctor thinks it would be in your best interest to get one, I would. **

Yes, vitamin C is your best weapon at fighting the flu right now. Juice, oranges, lots of fruit. Your second best weapon?......rest & as much of it as you can get. I know its hard, a lot of us will force ourselves to work while we are sick, but if you can park yourself on the sofa & rest, then do that by all means.

Also, even though you dont want to, force yourself to intake fluids like lots & lots of water. Especially if you have a fever. Think of it as gasoline to your body so it can fight off your flu.

When you get better, try a multi-vitamin to help keep your body filled with vitamins to help keep it well.

Don't take a flu vaccine, it is a part of the American biological warfare. It will just weaken your immune system. Try to eat lots of garlic food and bitter melon. Drink lots of fluids. Try not to change your body's temp. when the weather changes. for example, taking off warm clothes after a sudden change in weather. Do it timeously.

Raw honey found in health food stores. The benefits are amazing and helped me get better one year. Have it with tea, it's really good. Add lemon for extra vitamin C.

Also, chicken soup, homemade preferably, is also very good. Don't buy canned soup since it's are loaded with MSG.
