Please do not answer with "take a course in school" because there are currently none available in my area. I would prefer something that gives the opportunity to hear, read, speak and write the language.

Is this how you speak in everyday life? It seems to me that some expressions wouldn't be said in real life. For example: "Wait a minute", "That's what I call...", "I bet...", etc. Or can I as a non-native learner of English take THAT for the real way you'd speak?

Please don't give me words using "ñ" because I know most of the words. What I have never understood is the rule for USING the "Ñ"... when to use it and how to use it properly.... I have pretty well managed to master the punctuation and accent marks in Spanish, but this one has eluded me and, what's worse, when I've asked this same question in a Spanish class or three, the teachers couldn't tell me, so they didn't know either.

There have been a few times (OK... MORE then a few)... when I have made a fool of myself (easy for me to do, anyway) by insisting a word should be spelled with "ñ" only to find out that it was spelled with a regular, "N" like they use in Inglaterra.

PLEASE no flames... this is a serious question and I would appreciate a serious reply. Thank you.

My daughter and I have been learning some basic Spanish together by listening to a CD with lessons and songs. She loves it, and has shown quite an aptitude for it. I'm looking for experiences with more advanced programs such as Muzzy or other ideas on how best to teach her Spanish. We're learning it together, if that matters.

Is it just me or are guys with accents sooo freakin HOTT?? Maybe its not the guys that are hot, but just their accents... I dont know, but I always fall for a guy with a strong accent, whatever it may be. (I really have a thing for Australian accents) Am I crazy?
