Yeah I know it came from 'Simpsons' but what is the story? like 'whole nind yards' refers to the legnth of anti-aircraft machine gun bullet belt.
And 'take no prisoner' refers to killing all the defeated soldiers, and 'kick the bucket' refers to the way a cow is slaughtered. What is the reference or the base for that saying?

It comes from the idea that a cow is giving birth to another cow, if you have ever seen it you would understand that it means, Calm down, don't have a cow.
