Would a woman like it if her man bought her a vacuum cleaner for Christmas? Conversely, would an overweight man like it if his woman bought him a DVD on how to lose weight?

I need to get my parents a present each for Christmas and I have no idea what to get them. Its been a really hard year for me and they've helped me through loads so I don't want to get them a packet of socks each.

I'm only 15 so I have hardly no money, lol. Something thoughtful would be great, I just need some ideas.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated, thank you..

I really want to put up a lot of christmas lights this year, but our house is stucco and Im not sure how? I would like to maybe put some around the windows, but they are not wood. We put red and white glass bulbs around our whole house and guest house. On our house we have to put up about 300ft of lighting to go around the perimeter of the house. We have to put up about 175ft around the guest house. I dont want to put any in the backyard but we live on an acre on a corner so we have a really big and wide front yard. In the front yard we put up a lighted christmas tree, rudolph and another raindeer, and frosty. Im not sure if I want to put much more in the front yard, but i would like to put a lot more on the house. We are putting them up today so help asap! Remember we have a stucco house so I need to know how to put them up, without them falling. If possible put links! If you have any more questions e-mail me from my profile. Thanks! I need help soon!!!

I'm taking part in a Secret Santa gift exchange, with a limit of $20. I would like to give a wine-themed gift, and so will spend $20 on cute coasters, corkscrew, etc. I have a bottle of wine that I will never drink (I'm not a wine-drinker), so I would like to give the bottle of wine with the gift - but then the actual value of the gift would be over $20, even though I only spent $20.

So what's proper Secret Santa etiquette? Can the value of the gift be over the set amount, if I can give part of it at no cost to me? Or does the total value have to be $20?

I guess a related question would be if you can buy something at a great sale price (say, a $50 item for $20) - is that fair game for a Secret Santa gift?

I only went to one outlet that we have to pass to get home from up north.. (ralph lauren, coach, gap, oldnavy, rue 21, eddie bower , catiers, carters kids, etc.) Anyone shop at the mall, outlets, boutiques, lots of places?! I dont know how people do that! It's probably hard to find a parking spot!

Everyone I know gets their trees the weekend after Thanksgiving and their's stays alive through Christmas. Ours usually dies or loses it's green early. Is there a certain tree that lasts longer? We have the tree stand that requires a hole be drilled in the bottom of the tree trunk and we have them drill the hole at the tree farm so it will be centered. If we could somehow keep the drilled out area wet on our trip back home, would that help? Our home is about a 30 minute drive from the farm and of course we have to get into the house with the tree. I would say it's usually in water within an hour of being cut. Any real and helpful advice would be appreciated. Please don't even try to help me if you haven't ever had a "live" Christmas tree.
TIA!
