I need to get my parents a present each for Christmas and I have no idea what to get them. Its been a really hard year for me and they've helped me through loads so I don't want to get them a packet of socks each.

I'm only 15 so I have hardly no money, lol. Something thoughtful would be great, I just need some ideas.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated, thank you..

How about making up some coupons on your computer for doing a chore, running an errand, or doing a favor. Stipulate on the coupon no grumbling, no wining, and no complaints. Your parents will love it. 3 o r 4 redeemable scrips for the year should do.

So permit me ask you this.. What do you do for THEM? It turns out you're stuck up on how one set of moms and dads "does (buys) not anything for us". Why do they ought to do whatever for you? You are adults, proper? Would you be dissatisfied in case your moms and dads sat and suggestion, "Gee, you already know our daughter Susie and her husband do not get us squat, and I suppose the presents they get us are particularly for them, however our son Johnny and his spouse get us high-quality presents at all times! We will have to surely bathe them with lavish presents because they undoubtedly love us extra." You mentioned it satisfactory whilst you stated that one set "chooses to spend another way". It's THEIR cash and they are able to spend it on something (and whomever) they desire. If one set of moms and dads makes a decision to spend a ton of cash on then you how beneficiant of them, however that does not make the opposite set grasping or egocentric. And are you watching at the amount of cash spent or the suggestion in the back of the presents? You cannot pick presents to deliver them situated on what you get FROM them. That is infantile and petty. Surely you'll love each units of moms and dads in the event that they bought you a ton of presents or none in any respect, proper? Or a minimum of that is the way it SHOULD be. You will have to get each units presents you feel are compatible who they're and could be anything they could like to obtain. Keeping them in an identical cost levels could be thoughtful as good (do not get one set a guide and the opposite a cruise). Don't play favorites, and do not forget to preserve the actual spirit of the vacation in brain. Hope that is helping. Good success!

As dumb as this sounds coming FROM a parent...

My kids 13 and 18, I give them $20 each and take them to the dollar store and let them spend it on dad, mom, gpa, each other and one friend.

It's kinda neat to see what they come up with to give each parent/grandparent and sibling and friend with such a small amount of money. It's not the amount you spend, it's the time you took to think of them, remember that.

I have an idea for you though...

Get a basket for Mom and decide if you'd like to do food or bath stuff...

food: her favorite candy bar, cookie, sunflower seeds, gum, suckers, certs/mints, etc.

same for dad:

If it's smelly goods for bathtime:
buy her favorite or what you think smells good
bubble bath with a POUF, some lotion and some shower gel (I know it sounds Cheesy, but we MOM's need a TIME OUT)

Dad's are a bit tougher for me, but how about a boxed set of smell goods @ walmart or a variety box of colognes.

Are they coffee or cocoa lovers?
Coffee Cup with a box/bag of their favorite coffee stuff.
Maybe some muffin mix or a chocolate dipped spoon to go with it. Flavored creamers for coffee, OR a box of flavored Tea if they like tea.

How about making them a TOGETHER BASKET/Movie Night for Mom and Dad

Buy a movie you would like to watch with them (or one they have been wanting to see), build a basket of goodies to eat..popcorn, candy, six pack of Coke, and 2 tickets to a SPECIAL EVENT WITH THEIR CHILD or MOM AND DAD MOVIE NIGHT, you can decide on the night for the tickets or put something on them like: REDEEMABLE ONLY WHEN I GET TO GO TO A DANCE OR OUT WITH FRIENDS OR OVER TO GRANDMAS HOUSE...(SOMETHING LIKE THAT)
.
Partially bought, and partially made...parents love the thoughtful kid!!!

You could get them some chocolates or something

or if you are short of money you could make them something or you could just do some housework, give them time to relax or have fun.
