My son's 12 and 14 don't believe in santa but i think my 9 year old daughter still does. I never believed in santa as I am the product of a minister and my parents did not let me believe in "fairy" tale things like santa. I think the boys were between 8 and 10 when they stopped believing in santa.

As historical past has written there as quickly as grow to be a St Nicholas that did holiday & hand out promises years & years in the past. it is the story that I even have shared with my toddlers. My youngest is 10...he nevertheless believes in Santa, Mrs Claus & the elves on the north pole. i don't sense that i'm dishonest him nor did my oldest sense cheated while he found out that the promises from Santa / what no longer have been actual from me on the age of 9 a million/2. They cherish the youngster hood ideas as merely that...fond ideas. while my toddlers asked me if there relatively grow to be a Santa Claus...I merely decrease back it with a question; "What do you suspect?" understanding that there might come an afternoon while they might hit upon the id at the back of the surprises. i've got faith that for the duration of this present day & age we'd desire to consistently cherish each and every happy concept & mind's eye that we'd capture & carry. Many advantages for a extraordinary holiday from our abode to yours!

I was either 7 or 8. It was in the beginning of 3rd grade. I don't have kids. I figured it out & talked to my friends about it. We didn't tell my parents EVER....but they knew! It left a little "mystery" and fun at Christmas. I'm 27 and still get gifts "from Santa".

My oldest found out at the age of 5 from another child. We told them there was no Santa like the one he sees but there was a man who actually lived who gave things to the poor which started the tradition. Jesus is part of the giving part too.(3 kings) We told him both stories. He accepted that is why we honor Christmas with gifts and celebrate Jesus. Ps. He passed this story on to his younger brother and sister about the time they turned 5.

I don't think it is a good idea to tell your kid that Santa is real in the first place since it will set them up to not believe you on other things possibly too. Just my opinion.
My personal experience:
I found out Santa wasn't real when I was like 5 or 6 because my older cousin told me. I think I had already stopped believing before that though because I found presents in my parents room a couple of times before Christmas. My parents made me pretend I still believed if I wanted to have presents.

A "friend" told me in third grade. I didn't believe her so I asked my Mom. At the time I asked, my little sister was in the room, and my Mom was brushing her hair. I said "Mom I have a question about Santa." My Mom Covered my sister ears right way. Then she told me the truth, I wish I could have believed for a little while longer.
