I want to give a thank you present for someone who stayed with me in my time of illness. He is someone that came that didnt have to. We are co workers and before the illness we were just passing people who worked in the same place.. ( he was mean looking not very talkative). Now he smiles when he sees me and he says hello. I just want to give him something to thank him for being there in my time of need (I collapsed at work and he waited with me when the ambulance was on the way, he would not leave me, held my hand and stayed) Can I get some ideas on what to get? I asked him what kind of cookies he liked and he said chocolate chip but I think I could do more for him. ANY ideas are helpful.

The everyday "theme" is Victorian. Colors are red and gold.

I'm looking for something cute to write on the inside of my christmas cards to make them more personal. Nothing like "merry christmas" or "seasons greetings."
The outside of the card says "let it snow" and the inside says "wishing you a happy winter wonderland" so I would like something that sticks with that theme. Any ideas?

My family used to have HUGE gatherings. Now my parents moved out of state and all my aunts and uncles do their own thing. I have my sister, but I feel like I'm intruding on "her family's" Christmas.

Anyone else routinely bust out the Mannheim Steamroller Christmas music this time of year? It's a tradition for me. I always have them playing in the background at my house around this time. Love their Christmas music!

Happy holidays!

I think it is wrong to give "lists" of what you want. I mean now a days it is all about WHAT you can get and not the meaning of giving. I remember when YOU decided what to get someone on the basis that it was a thought not a duty to give. Am I alone??

My nephew is in third grade and his parents are very well off and so it is very difficult to buy any gift for him, let alone Christmas gifts. We are on a tight budget so we are looking at about $20. We do not want to give him money or a gift card. This is alot of pressure on the new wife/aunt. This is my husbands sister's son. Very uppity and we never know what to get. This year we want to get him something really great!

I need some ideas. I'm almost done, but need one more thing about $100. Please no gift certs for spas or ballooning or sex. And no Victoria Secret stuff. We are in our 30s and have 2 kids. She just likes presents, not all sentimental crap. Thanks for any ideas. Just throw them out there and I'm sure I'll find something.

My husbands family is doing something really fun this year for Christmas. We are making homemade gifts for the name we drew. The only problem we have is that he drew his dads name and we can't think of anything to make. Any ideas???
