Drive around and look at the beautiful lights. It's so fun to see how people decorate their houses. Even the cheesiest decorations make me smile, because it's only once a year, and it's still fun. Put up a tree and decorate it. Buy a good CD of classic Christmas tunes. Light a fire in the fireplace and listen to it and look at your tree with the room lights off.

I totally understand you. Like, you want to have some Christmas spirit like everyone else does, but you just don't. I completely understand. I am in the same situation, except for not with Christmas, with something else that I would rather not discuss with a stranger.
But, for answering you question...I would say maybe blast some Christmas music in your house or apartment and then do something crafty. Like decorate a candle holder or make a picture frame. Or, if you don't have your tree up you can put that up. Maybe you could make your Christmas list. I think these would be some things that would put you in that mood for Christmas. At least I hope so.
Plus, you still got 28 days to get into the spirit.
Merry Christmas!!!

Do charity work. The real spirit of Christmas is giving with no thought of receiving. Donate your time to any number of local charities like Toys for Tots, the Salvation Army, Goodwill IIndustries. Or take up a collection for a family in need. A sense of purpose in that you are helping others have a magical Christmas should raise your spirits!
Hope This Helps

The best way to get in the spirit is to give to someone else....find a family in dire straits and make a Christmas for them....do it in secret though, its more fun that way. Just assemble a box of food and leave it on their doorstep with a note that gifts will follow on Christmas eve. Find the family by asking around at local churches or community service organizations and they may be able to help you with sizes and wish lists. Get a gift for each family member and leave on the doorstep on Christmas eve and ring the doorbell then hide if you want to see a reaction. If this isn't possible, try to get a few gifts for nursing home residents with no family or some residents at a local shelter. Volunteering at a shelter like a previous post mentioned is an excellent way to boost your spirit.

Remember the years when you were full of Christmas spirit and try to recreate some of those times. Remember that sometimes during Christmas we get all caught up in the hurry of the season and we forget that Christmas is more than just a time when you are obligated to give presents and cook. Christmas is a time to remember that there are so many people in your life who love you and who you love. Take time to reach out to those people. Tell at least three people who have had an impact on your life that you appreciated it and what they did for you. Find something selfless and charitable to do for others. Give of your time or money whatever you have to remind you of the things that you do have. Try a random act of kindness...Pay for the person behind you on the bridge, buy someone a coffee, help someone carry groceries to their car.

I always find that the sooner I get the gifts et al out of the way - the more into the spirit I get. Then I can make time to decorate, bake, and enjoy my family and friends without feeling like I'm running at break-neck speeds to meet a deadline. I think it's a matter of being organized.
Also - keep in mind what the season means to you.

Now with the tragic journey I even experience responsible. responsible that i'm not even taking part in Christmas mutually as those 20 young ones who appeared forward to Christmas day can not. rather much ungrateful. i think like crap now.

i agree with most people in here. listen to music while you drive around looking at light's on houses. then go home and watch
"it's a wonderfull life". or any other movie that can lift up that spirit. but like Someone on here said the most important thing is to remember that it's the day we celebrate Christ's birth.......good luck and may God bless you.......
