Try contacting any local charities in your area, The Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, Lutheran Social Services, Toys for Tots, in other words try working the phones, you might also check and see if you have a First Call For Help office in your area. You might also want to contact your local Radio or TV station, or Newspaper, get a reporter from one or all about your story. Hope this helped, God Bless and have a Merry Christmas, your in our prayers here.

Contact your local Department of Family and Child Services and get on the a list for needy families. Also find out if a church would help. Maybe your family will pitch in and help out too.

Hi I just posted this to another question and thought it would be useful to you also.
Check out a yahoo group called "freecycle" they have locations all over the country and the members give stuff that they no longer use away for free. many times I have seen children's items offered. You can even post "wanted" listings like "Wanted: gently used or new clothes and toys for boys and girls ages 2-12" you can even ask for Christmas decorations that people no longer want.
Here is their listing
http://www.freecycle.org/
Search for your city and join this group

You can contact your local church or other churches in your area sponsoring christmas for those in need. They would not have the deadlines that other non for profit organizations may have.
They often have christmas angels within their own congregations who can help you. Good luck and god bless!

that's tough, how about instead of buying them presents, make a large meal, and decorate a tree in the community. if you want to give presents y not find alot of pictures of you and ur kid, and pix of ur nephews with their parents, and give them to the kids. It will be somethign nice for all to remember the good times and you can leave blank pages for future years.
