Shoes and a soccer ball. They always need shoes and a ball gives them a diversion from the tough realities of their life. Is this a program you are participating in? If it is,I would love to participate as Africa is close to my heart.

In the past, I have participated in a shoe box gift program to third-world nations. In this, I filled a shoe box with items that a child could use in an undeveloped nation. Some examples are: pencils, paper, balls, balloons, bandannas and soap.

I would buy them some shoes, since they live on a street, their feet probably hurt. And maybe find a cheap outfit or something.

One new outfit. In order to spend $25 total, you'd have to go to Walmart or Target as most other stores charge that much for one single item.

Art supplies, crayons, paper, colored pencils, paint, etc.
They will be able to be creative with supplies that the child might not normally have available to him/her.
