Holidays - February 2007

okay, so my husband & i are kinda squabbling right now but i want to smooth that over. unfortunately, i'm kinda broke AND short on time & privacy (that is, i'm working all day & he picks me up after, so i can't surprise him with a gift or dinner). i doubt he's getting/doing anything for Vday for me, he's not the type (last year he got me something but didn't give it to me till the middle of March!).
so, what do i do? should i even bother doing anything? if so, what can i do, like write a poem or something?

I drew my boyfriend a picture for Valentines day... since I couldn't think of anything else. Its a rather cute picture... but I can't help but feel its tacky? I know Valentines Day isn't really about who can spend the most on who... but it feels kinda bad not to be able to buy anything for someone you care about. I'm having a girl's night for my single friends as an alternative to V-day. One of my friends is bringing the movie The Last Kiss. I just read some reviews and it sounds kind of depressing, like none of the relationships are going well at the end. Is this a good movie choice for singles on V-day?

I think its ridiculous. Anniverseries are a day to celebrate your relationship,not some holiday made up that really has nothing to do with your relationship at all. Nothing done on this day is ever truley from the heart bc its all done out of obligation. I think its ok for people dating or little kids with crushes. Whats your opinion?

long story short - used to live in russia and there was this boy at school who Really liked me. then i left to move to england and didnt get the chance to tell him.
when i went back for a holiday he ignored me COMPLETELY (i think coz i broke his heart).
about a month ago i texted him out of the blue, to which he was quite surprised, but eventually he started talking to me again.

however, having not seen him in so long, i miss him and am starting to like him. as today is valentines day, i was thinking whether to wish him a nice valentines day or not, but i dunno how he'll react - im scared he will ignore me again coz he doesnt want to get hurt again. (he hasnt talked to me about how he feels)

should i just leave it? or is there a way i can wish him a nice valentines day in a friendly way so he doesnt think im a total freak or that im stalking him

like this guy who I've known for quite a while. We have been going to lunch together at work every day since last week, after not seeing each other in months (We use to hang out often). Today, he said a co-worker ordered pizza...it just so happens to be V Day. What's up with this?
