I think its ridiculous. Anniverseries are a day to celebrate your relationship, not some holiday made up that really has nothing to do with your relationship at all. Nothing done on this day is ever truley from the heart bc its all done out of obligation. I think its ok for people dating or little kids with crushes. Whats your opinion?

Valentine's Day is celebrate the love within you day!!
why is everyone always defining themselves by someone else; so you go buy yourself a box of chocolates ; romance yourself today; make today a day all about just you; pamper yourself, eat chocolates, put your favorite music on; make yourself a great meal; treat yourself, you shouldn't be looking at what you don't have but what you do have; someone will come along but won't find you today b/c you are wearing the world on your shoulders; you will never get this day back again, not this moment, not this hour etc; spend this day wisely ; read a good book , watch your favorite movie, buy a cup of coffee for someone in line behind you just because; go to an animal shelter and walk a dog that is alone and abandoned; donate money to a animal shelter , volunteer; do something for yourself to raise your spirit; this is a day about LOVE; love yourself today; how about family ; did you call your Mom or Dad, a friend; and just wish them a happy valentine's day; go to a senior center and leave a box of chocolates; bring flowers to a nursing home for them to put out for the elderly , this day can mean what you make it ; do something nice for yourself and someone that you don't know; it can make your day and theirs - now that is love - now that is Valentine's day until that special someone can find you and they will ; you have it in your power to share love !!!

February 14. it really is a Wednesday this 365 days. Asking her out on Valentines day might want to instruct splendidly or horribly, searching on how she solutions you. both candies or a purple rose are outstanding presents.

Well, being that I have no one at the moment, I think its ridiculous too, only because I am bitter about not having anyone. On the other hand, if I had someone then I would say that V-Day was Grrrrrrrrreeeeeeat!!!!

Any chance for celebration is OK. Some times it is a good excuse for starting something or bring something up! Don't analyze everything. This conversation has been going on for years and years. LET IT GO!

If you really love someone the important thing is to make sure they know it every day by the way you treat them. Valentine's Day is nothing but another money maker for retailers.

It is yet another holiday jammed down our throats by the media and retailers so we spend money. I personally make my own valentine's for those I care for and they mean a lot more than cheesey candy and cards.

I think it is a Hallmark Holiday, way overhyped by companies trying to cash in.
