That seems like a good reason to me. In spanish this holiday is also known as El Dia del Amor y La AMISTAD which means the day of love and FRIENDSHIP so yeah, go out with your friends and have a little fun. Take advantage of this holiday's celebrations like special dances, special sales, special anything and have some fun. I used to celebrate just with my friends, we would all go out and have fun before I got married. Now, I get to spend it with my husband, but let me tell you you're not missing out on much. Valentine's day becomes just another day when you're married. Men memorize their "I dont need a special day to show you that I love you, I tell you that everyday" speech. the fun part is when you're dating, that's when the guys are still trying to impress you.

I just be as cheerful as possible and hope to spread some kindness around. I have learned over the years that unreal expectations is what caused me so much disappointment, so now I just live life one day at a time.
Have a drink for me please.
good luck & happy v day

Since I have to work tomorrow and can't go get stinking drunk long enough to forget this miserable day, I'll concentrate on bills, a shower, my laundry, then sleep.
