I love Christmas, so I start around the end of November. By the way, tonight I saw the first Christmas commercials on TV. Does it seem to just creep up?

Now i have noticed this, this year for Halloween:

Most of the people are giving out chips more then candy this year. Why?

Have u noticed that or is it just in my area.

Well for one thing more people are getting more lazy to buy candy and stuff for Halloween.

And all they do is keep the candy for themselves.

So, have u noticed more chips in ur bag, or is it just in my area?

There are 3 categories that any candy can fall into- Chocolate, Gummy/Chewy, and Hard Candy. Can anyone think of a candy that doesn't fit under one of these categories?

Those things where you open a little door each day in December and get a treat (not the church's calendar). How and when did this tradition start?

I need an original feeling that halloween gives you other than the steriotypical "spooky, creepy, fun, festive" ideas that you mostly get. This is for a major essay, so I really appreciate your help!
