There are 3 categories that any candy can fall into- Chocolate, Gummy/Chewy, and Hard Candy. Can anyone think of a candy that doesn't fit under one of these categories?

A fourth category would be "powdered" candy

I don't know if they are still around or not, but when I was a kid there were these stick like candies made of wax filled with a sweet juicy liquid. (I think I've seen them, but I'm not for sure). Of course you didn't eat the wax, but you drank the sweet juicy liquid out of them. MMMMMM

I did see some wax Dracula teeth for sale this year. I'm not sure how 'delicious' they are. I didn't try them out. They weren't too appealing. Anyway, if they don't just crumble and get all 'messy,' the wax would probably fall under chewy. I don't want to try them to find out.

I know these are not around anymore, but also when I was a kid they made candy cigarettes. They were very soft and powdery when you chewed them up. You could blow on one end (the other end was colored red) and a sugary substance would come out the other "red" end and it resembled smoke. I'm glad they aren't around anymore - what a bad influence. Though, I do remember buying them and playing with them when I was a kid.

I think it's called Dips.. you get a pouch with 2-3 different sour powdered candies and a sugary stick that you lick and pick up the candy with.
Gosh this must be dentists' favorite time of year, huh?
