Last year I saw my mother kissing him under the mistletoe. I thought it was my father. I went to his bedroom to wake him up but he just mumbled telling me to back to bed.

Any stories on homemage gifts? And were they liked? Just wondering.

I did a few years ago for my side of the family. I bought some Hot Wheels lowrider cars, those little figures called "Homies" and some little round mirrors. I glued the lowriders to the mirror and then posed the Homies around the cars and glued those too. By the time I was done, it looked like a mini car show. I have even had a few requests to make a few more this year. Appearently, they were a bigger hit than what I thought. It's a nice feeling to know that people really appreciate homemade gifts.

This is are first actual christmas together. I have already bought his presens but now we are doing stockings. for christmas i got him dvd,cds, sheets(he wanted them), baseball cap of his favorite football team and a matching pair of boxers and a small mirror to go with his living room theme is his new apartment. I got him a little candy but he doens't want anymore. He likes ps2 wants a ps3. likes football..umm...is big into movies but i already got him like 5..Help plz..I'm lost here..and thanks!! oh and the stocking is normal sized..if that helps and he is 23.

I was in America last year for Christmas and I noticed how a lot of the TV adverts say EG: "Holiday Shopping" "Holidays Lights" etc..

I'm from Britain I've been to a lot of countries that say "Christmas" why is it that you guys say holidays instead :-S

We barely get to Halloween; and we all have Christmas music, artificial trees, and "all" the toy advertisments on.
This ticks me off. I "start in Oct. or Nov. now telling my 5 yr old; we'll see what Santa brings hun.

Are you now?? Tired of everything? being so "comercialized?"

I sure as heck am. "I" hate all of it.
