Do you get individual cards from Hallmark or buy boxed sets at store of your choice? Or do you make your own with rubberstamps?

There is this guy that I really liked and he use to be my neighbor. He moved recently about 20 miles away so that really isn't to far. He did send me a text message on Thanksgiving to tell me Happy Thanksgiving and he was thinking of me. Do you think he will do the same at Christmas?

Here is the deal.. We are having a competition with our neighbors. We put up a few lights, then they out done us.. We put up more than them.. Now they have put up a pretty good bit more than us.. So we are gonna go back to the movie National lampoons Christmas Vacation, and covor our house with lights.. It is a pretty big house, so we are gonna need ALOT of lights.. Anyone have a clue where I can find alot of lights at a good price? Thanks for any help you can give me..

I'm buying Christmas presents based on the first adverts I see on TV. Here goes....

Mum - Tesco potatoes
Dad - Vicks First Defence hand foam
Brother - Miami Vice on DVD
Wife - VO5 Extreme style hair wax
Mother-in-law - Monsters of Rock (Triple CD)
Dad-in-law - Non-slip Scholl party feet
Grandmother - Imodium plus

I may not be popular with my family but at least I don't have to think about it too much. Plus, my Gran suffers from constipation (I think) so Imodium might not help much.

Merry Christmas

I've heard bits and pieces, but does anyone really know how that story came about and why it was associated with Christmas? I know what Christmas is, (the day that Jesus was born), but I would love to here the real story behind Santa Claus.

I have spoken to many people who have lately joined the teaching "profession" because it allows them to have a lifestyle they enjoy for 13 weeks a year i.e windsurfing, horseriding, etc with the only inconvenience being "snotty nosed kids" for the remaining 39 weeks. They take their own kids on 4 week holidays in the summer because they want to spend "precious" time with their off spring. Its just a job and it has good perks.I dont resent them. I appreciate my friends honesty. I just resent most teachers hypocrisy about "caring for their pupils". I know their are many teachers (probably most) who joined the profession because they cared but,get real - what are you in it for 5 or 10 years later? From an ex-acedemic who sees the real "New England", not a pretty place for teacher or pupil.

All the women in my workplace drew names to buy another person a Christmas gift, valued at less than $20. What can I buy a 40-something, spiritual, hip, very funny lady???

This means that they must come into "work" about 7.30pm and finish about 5pm. Sorry but this dont add up. My teacher told me so. Also dont see many cars on the car park at that time in the morning or in the evening. Oh they take their work home. How difficult that must be. Bless!

People keep saying that Santa clause is real because he gives you presents. But other people think their parents hide the presents and give it to them the next day. Is he real, give me your opinion and why.
