Christmas is all about the birth of Christ, to me. I have, over the years, become more and more annoyed with the displays going up earlier and earlier this year.
I buy a few modest gifts for a very select few people and celebrate with close friends and family. It's amazing how relieved I was when I gave up the very commercial and secularized aspect of Christmas.

It's about the birth of the Messiah
And it's implications for you and I
Forgiveness, cleansing, freedom ,renewal, a relationship with God, A life of purpose, guidance, wisdom, and strength no matter what comes your way
The promise of Heaven
For me this is the joy of Christmas.

It's all about celebrating Jesus' birth; there is some troll out there thumbs-downing every post that mentions that, but whoever it is, I hope they have a Merry Christmas anyway...
