My husband is a diesel mechanic the largest mass merchandiser chain in the U.S. (won't say who just incase we can get in legal trouble asking this). Once a week he tells me somebody has come to demonstrate something on the jobsite that they are selling and the managers help push the product or the charity and insist that they are good employees by donating and supporting other companies. He may have a great job but we have bills just like everybody else. I feel they shouldn't be doing this at work. There should be a special meeting for those who want to attend demonstrations or give to charities through work.

There is a woman where I work whom nobody can stand who is leaving for a 2 month vacation and the rest of us have been secretly talking about throwing a party. This woman is one who constanly criticizes everyone telling them that it's not done right if it's not done her way or the way her mother taught her. She says, "My mother always says this or that" and "Every job I go to they always thank me for how much I know and how much I teach them" "these places have benefited from having me there". She is very annoying to have to listen to for 8 hrs a day. I have wondered if we are doing right or not by secretly calling each other and planning a "Carlita is not here!" party.

I seem to be in a kind of power struggle at work. I came to this new job in a new place with lots of experience and the ability to voice my opinion. Now I get told "don't concern yourself with that" whenever I bring up "issues." I want to do a good job, start out on the right path. I don't want to usurp the supervisor's abilities, but then again I DO have new and different experiences to draw on...

Help! What should I do???

Why everytime someone asks a serious question on this site, someone has to come up with an insultful and stupid answer? Do you think it is mainly kids or immature adults making these ridiculous answers?

I was all the way inside this guys butt, pounding away, I reached around and he had a hard-one, it was so disgusting he was acting like such a gay guy. should I tell him I dont like that behavior when I am going to town on him, or should I just relax and ack like it never happened?

Lat night I woke up with vasaline on my buttocks and a condom hanging out of my crack. I was at a party with two guys and they were both pretty nice. I am not gay and I dont want to accuse, so what should I do? I dont want to be rude and jump to conclusions here.

I would. The more friends you have the better.

So I'm robbing this liquor store, when suddenly I recognize the guy behind the counter. It's my old high school gym teacher!

Well, I want to say hi to him, reminisce with him about old times at school, but if I do so, this might cause some social embarassment for him as he would have to admit to having somehow lost his job and taking this crappy job in it's place.

What was the best option for me here? Should I have just pretended I didn't recognize him (he of course didn't recognize me as I was masked), or should I ignore the possible breach of etiquette and take the chance of possibly rekindling an old friendship? He was a great guy!

I understand that if a child (usually boys) has a I after their name then they are the first, II second, iii third, etc. with roman numerals. Also I understand that if you are the first then your nickname is usually "senior", second "Junior", third "Trey" or "Tripp", but what would the 4th be? I've heard of Quinn being used as the 5th, but this has been on my mind for a while and was wondering if there was an official nickname to be used.

I have worked in retail for a while now are have desided that some customers are just plan RUDE.
They treat staff as something that they stepped in on the road. When they lose their receipt they start with the "consumer rights act"
they don't look at you when they are specking but want you to stop what your doing to help them!!!

if you deal with consumers what do you hate?

My mom says "yes". I say "no" and many other people back me up here. Who's right in the situation?

Do I really need to write a thank-you note to my college for giving me a $40,000 grant when my parents still owe them $80,000? Or should I be thanking them for robbing my parents blind?

Do I need to thank my town and my parents' church for both giving me general scholarships?

Should I be thanking a corporate business next if I get one from them?
