Well the first thing. Get right up in Mr. Garbanzonearolla's face and say "Sir, my name is Samuel A. Johnson. I really like your daughter. I want to "well a you know" but I won't until after we get married. I won't ever hit her even if she deserves it. If she hits me, I probably deserved it but I know she won't because you raised her to be a lady. If she gets pregnant I will never run out on her but if we get a divorce only because she wants it I will pay double the child support payments. I will always be a man and work hard because my parents Sir Frederich Johnson and Lady Gwenore Bush-shire Johnson had me learn this at finishing school in Corning. I would be happy Sir if you would approve of our forthcoming betrothal. Please do not hit me because your fists look like hams."

Be open, honest, respectful and helpful. Be observant. What kind of people are her parents? Stern? Strict? Stickler for manners? Ask your girlfriend about them. Try and get to know them. If you do that, it should be easy to pick up on the signals that they give. If you are really interested in their daughter you will try very hard to get along with them.

Always be yourself, they can see right through people trying to impress them. Don't dress like a hood, ALWAYS be nice to their daughter, even when they are not around (they'll hear if you're not). Treat her with respect, and always follow their rules. Pay Mom compliments (REALISTIC ones; not like "You could be her sister!"), and ask Dad for advice when you really need it. Don't try to be slick or cooler than you really are.

Since you sincerely seem to want them to like you, they will see it, and that will help. Good Luck!

show their daughter respect--don't try to be someone or something your not -politeness-honesty-and don't expect the dad to like you immediately-remember he was your age once and he knows what you want to do with his daughter when you two are alone-so don't try to B.S. him in any way!!!! Oh and wear your pants above your ***, keep the music low and have her home on time!!! AND whatever you do-be yourself and NOT and *** Kisser!

Show them respect and be polite in all you do, and treat the girl with the same respect and politeness.
