I won't bother to answer because it will have already been said, and when you look through the answers, it has!
When there's been 30 to 40 answers, you know the Question has probably been resolved so I don't see the point
(pardon the pun) of typing what someone else has already said, just to earn points.
That is why I don't have many points and, to me, this was never the objective. I genuinely have bona fida Q's to ask, not many I grant you, and I generally don't give trite, repeated answers.
I love to dabble on here but how people come up with Q after Q beats me. There are sometimes 7 in a row! How do they think of them all.
They must be far brainier than me.

Who usually has control of the remote? I used to be, now I'll be on the couch with my little guy, I'll try to pass a cartoon, he'll say, "That one." and take the remote from my hand.

A very popular scotsman dies in glasgow and his old widow wishes to tell all his friends at once so she goes to the newspaper and says
"I'd like tae place an obituary fur ma late husband" The man at the desk says "OK, how much money dae ye have?"
The old woman replies "£5" to which the man says "You wont get many words for that but write something and we'll see if it's ok" so the old woman writes something and hands it over the counter and the man reads "Peter Reid, fae Parkheid, deid"
He feels guilty at the abruptness of the statement and encourages the old woman to write a few more things. The old woman ponders and then adds a few more words and hand the paper over the counter again. The man then reads "Peter Reid, fae Parkheid deid. Ford Escort for sale"

I have spent one xmas eve stuck in a long line up of vehicles on the Rogers Pass here in BC Canada, with my sister, because a snow slide closed the highway. We were between two semis so we loaded up the truck drivers and drove back to the nearest town to get something to eat and get some coffee. Dont remember their names or what they looked like. One was from the US and one was from Ontario.

Spent another xmas on a greyhound bus, all the hwys were closed, just me and the driver. He was determined he was getting home for xmas morning, so he crossed the border, drove across idaho and back into canada. He drove me right to my parents door ! It was 5 AM when mom woke up to see a greyhound bus pulling into their yard, What a lovely man he was , we spent about 12 hours together. Even crossed on a little ferry that didnt usually take greyhound buses - winding through back roads in the middle of nowhere so he could be home for xmas with his family.

Back to that flat again. When I pulled off the interstate onto the exit ramp and pulled over to the outside edge of the shoulder and walked to a phone, I was passed by probably 30 cars during my trek. Not one stopped to ask a granny type walking along the shoulder with her car a half-mile behind, emergency flashers blinking, if she needed help or a ride or to offer a cell phone call for her. I think that surprised me more than anything, even the flat tire!

Daughter's been nagging me to carry a cell phone for emergencies. I thought about the Jitterbug, but it's too limiting. When I was traveling back and forth to Pennsylvania, she nagged me again about a cell phone. Today, we were on our way to North Carolina to visit stepdaughter, when we had a flat. Hubby's still not well enough to hike (or drive), so he stayed in the car while I walked a half mile or more from the exit ramp to Denny's to call AAA. Stepdaughter gave us one of her phones that was on the family plan and had a number in our area assigned before we left her house. My own daughter will be so proud!
