I'm single, look ok. Been divorced 1 year. A man I do love wants me to move to Florida with him and get married. He is 69. We knew each other when I was in my 20's.
Problem, my parents still live near me as well as my now single daughter who is raising 2 children alone also relies on me to help
My guy will not budge from Florida. He says it's paradise but never goes to the beach If we pursue this situation I would have to move and leave my family behind.and I would feel so guilty doing that. Should I give up on love and just resign myself to the fact that I am to be a caregiver for the next 15 years at least? Or look for someone else which I'm not really into doing? I feel trapped.

They like good clean fun... unless they are dirty old men, and even then they are old and boring, just perverted which makes them that much worse.
They are stuck in the past and are usually out of touch with the concept of modern reality, but still think they know everything. Some are zealots, most are just insane, and are more often that not, excruciatingly embarassing.

It was heartening to discover the 'senior' section tucked away in a corner and find there are so many around. It shows one thing, there are still lots of seniors who have retained their freshness of mind, are still open to new ideas and that's how they are here at YA. The next is to find out how to make this association and interaction meaningful. Ideas please?

Ours call us grandma and grandad, some say grandma makes me sound extra old.
It's what I prefer though as I think Nannies are paid to look after kids , and grandmas just love children. x

When my son was young I used to look on in horror while he enjoyed peanut butter and jam sandwiches - this was before we discovered the Americans' love of peanut butter and jelly.

I've just bought some peanut butter, for the first time since my children left home. Feeling a bit peckish I cut a slice of bread, spread it with peanut butter and felt it needed something else. Looked for some jam but couldn't find any (or maybe forgot where I keep it!), spied some grapes, cut them in half, put them on the peanut butter and it was delicious. Now I feel as if I've just entered my second childhood, instead of the GOW I seem to have become recently.

OK seniors it's half term and the children are going to get bored at some point.

Any 'blasts from the past' that are 7/8yr old friendly for indoors or out?

I am 53. I have changed my job (but not profession) about every 2 to 3 years. Since turning 50 I find I do not get shortlisted for interviews and if I do, I don't get the job. This has never happened to me before! So now I find myself in a job I am bored with but stuck in. Help!

When my mom moved in with me. I discovered I'm the mom now. So I need a good site to visit where I can get ideas on how to kid/mom proof my home, so she doesn't go tumbling down the stairs since gates etc are out of the question. So what I need is ideas as well as where to purchase these products since I have my hands full and don't have a lot of time to spend on the internet searching for those products. And I'm sure I'm not the only person out there that is going through this. Or already went through this so any help with be welcomed.

I saw on the news today that a 97 year old lady is taking Hollywood by storm - she started a showbusiness career four years ago and has now several movies to her credit! I think this is absolutely great! What are your opinions and would you have the gumption to do the same?

I would! How does one go about getting there though? I want to act - have taught Performing Arts and am now retired!

I just wanted to say I'm sorry, I sure didn't raise him to have that kind of attitude toward his elders. He's grounded off the computer now. Is there a way to change my password on here so that he can't get into it again?
